We first met at the University of Vermont while working toward our Master’s degrees in Medical Science. Our first real conversation began when Matt noticed and complemented Kaleigh’s Star Wars shirt before class. It was simple, but that moment stuck for both of us. Over the next few months, we became fast friends, bonding over music, study sessions, and a shared love for skiing. With student ski passes to Smuggler’s Notch and long drives filled with playlists and laughter, our friendship began to grow stronger. We’d challenge each other on the slopes and in the classroom (grades were always a friendly competition), and before long, friendship turned into something more. That summer, Matt asked Kaleigh out on a park bench in Battery Park during a sunset over Lake Champlain. It was one of those picture-perfect Vermont evenings. That fall, we moved to Boston together, and started working side by side in the emergency department. In 2024, Matt was accepted to the PA program at UNE, and we began navigating a long-distance chapter. With visits nearly every weekend filled with outdoor activities and exploring Portland, our relationship only grew stronger. That December, we returned to Vermont, the place where it all began. In the quiet woods of Bingham Falls in Stowe, Matt proposed. It was snowy, peaceful, and perfect. So, it feels only fitting to return once again to Vermont to celebrate this next step in our journey together. We can't wait to share our wedding day with you at Mountain Top Resort in Chittenden, surrounded by the mountains, the woods, and all the people who have been part of our adventures.
