It’s the classic story of bride’s sister schtuped an artist; artist becomes family friend; family friend crashes in groom’s granny flat; and they all meet at a bar. Big thank you to Eric Cox for being a sexy, starving artist!
Months after meeting Michael, Shayna ran into “Eric’s handsome friend” at Mckinley Elementry. They were surprised to find out that their kids attended the same school and that Ruby and Paris were already friends. Over the next year they would meet at the park on Mondays. Looking back, it is obvious that they had chemisty but at the time they told themselves they were just friends and it was great having another parent to hang out with while the kids played.
It was the fall of 2018. Like all good love stories, it began on a rainy day. Their weekly meetup at the park was relocated to Shayna’s house due to the rain. It was the first time Michael and the kids had come over. They made empanadas with the kids, to keep them occupied on a rainy day. Maybe it was the rain, or how natural having a meal together felt, or the seriousness with which they played the game of Clue… but there was a moment when they both realized this felt perfect. They moved in together six weeks later, yadda yadda yadda… they’re getting married!!!
