Shayna was born when I was 9 years old and soon after I moved from California to Mississippi. Over the years I moved around a bunch and we never had the opportunity to grow up near each other. But as we got older we grew closer and our relationship blossomed. Shayna has always been there for me through thick and thin. Even though I am the older sister, she has guided me a lot in my life. I feel so loved having such a wonderful sister. We show up for each other and know we can always count on being there. Whether it is just a quick message or chat or the willingness to drop everything and be there for each other, Shayna isn’t just a sister to me, she is a best friend.
Best Woman
I met the first of my true tribe in 5th grade. Lost in the woods, soaking wet in garbage bag raincoats, Shayna and I became legit BFF’s. Through life’s most formative years we were inseperable. We have laughed, cried, and grown into full fledged adult women (well I’ve grown, pretty sure Shayna is the same height). Making new memories together, now with our families, is one of my greatest joys.

Hello! I’m Beck! I live near Seattle WA with my husband Felipe and our twins, Martin and Ruby. I’m a chef who loves to garden, enjoys outdoor adventures and values my family over anything in the world. Shayna and I met 22 years ago in a ceramics class at Mesa Community College. She and I sat at the same table and she was obviously the coolest one there- we were destined to be friends! We have developed our friendship into soul sister status over the years of traveling together, celebrating, venting to each other and growing our families. Our friendship consists of road trips, food- lots of food, plane rides, families, endless laughs, a smidge of whisky and sage advise when you need it most.
Best Dude
Michael and I have roamed the world together from San Diego to Iraq, Afghanistan, and all parts in between. If you get a chance, ask Michael about our adventures on the Trans-Siberian Railway. He’s a great travel buddy and Shayna’s in good hands. I know Shayna and Michael will have lots of incredible adventures together!
Best Dude
Having grown up together in Wisconsin, Michael and I have been friends for an absurd amount of time, over 35 years. Through school plays and clubs, traveling the world (Greece and Mexico), and many Bacon Weekends, we never tired of each other’s snark. Now both transplanted to California, we live just close enough together for far too infrequent visits. Our friendship persists with a firm foundation of digital board games, smack talk, and puns over FaceTime, and I eagerly await the next 35 years of fun.
Best Dude
Michael and I met in law school when I solved the mystery of the dude in the purple hat who rarely showed up for property law class. Since then, we’ve shared adventures and misadventures across the country and have helped each other when we’ve fallen and couldn’t get up a bunch of times.
