Robert's amazing and perfect mom. Robert certainly got most of his calm, logical and comedic personality from her. While Robert was growing up she balanced providing support and allowing independence all while showering Robert with all the love in the world.

The person who knows how to fix almost anything. Robert's dad passed on his curiosity to understand how things work. Between camping when Robert was in Boy Scouts and multiple home renovations, Robert was able to learn a multitude of life skills from him.
Erika Bainbridge

Erika has always been the most supportive and amazing mother. She was also always rooting for Wilma to find the love of her life and was a source of a lot of advice. When Wilma showed her a photo of Robert before going on their first date, Erika already had a good impression (and the first thing she noticed was his very blue eyes!)
William Bainbridge
Father of the Bride
Thanks to Bill, Wilma gained a strong love of science, experimentation, and technology! Wilma has many fond memories doing science experiments together as a kid, and playing many SNES games and uncovering game glitches. He was always a little uncertain whenever his little Willie started dating a guy, but has always been very kind and welcoming towards Robert.

Connie is Wilma's sister and one of Wilma's most important confidants! An important test of any guy is whether he can integrate into our inside Bainbridge jokes seamlessly or not. One of the most memorable times with Robert, Wilma, and Connie was on their road trip through Asheville to Nashville to see the 2017 solar eclipse.

Best Man
Eric and Robert first met in Boy Scouts and have been close friends ever since. Eric seems to go camping more frequently now than we did when we were still in scouts!
Diana Shen

Wilma met Diana during a summer study abroad in Japan, and soon afterwards they became "sisters", with a birthday only a day apart! They would lament about school life and guys for hours in the Yale dining halls, and enjoyed exploring Boston when they both moved there a few years later!

Growing up, Michael and Robert were always hanging out together. Exploring the creeks around the neighborhood, playing videogames together or going on fun family vacations with each other.
Cristina Almendarez
Bridesmaid
Cristina really transformed Wilma's social life in college -- they became friends in class, and then they went on to study abroad together in Japan. Then-senior Cristina invited junior Wilma to room with her and her cool senior friends (including Tae-Yeoun!), and also brought Diana into the fold. Cristina is one of the warmest, most welcoming people - and Wilma feels so lucky to have her her in Chicago to picnic and play board games with!

Originally was in the same after school daycare as Robert and later in the same Boy scout Troop. Jon always seems to have an insane number of hobbies to occupy his time, most recently starting up a salt water aquarium.

They were suitemates back in college in the "Cove", where they held Rock Band parties for people to join! They bonded a ton during their time in Boston, analyzing Game of Thrones over cookies and milk, and comparing notes on how to navigate academia.

The instant Wilma met Kasey at an NIH party, she knew Kasey was an incredibly sweet, interesting, and awesomely intelligent gal! They had so much fun spending long hours (along with Shee Shee) discussing everything under the moon all around DC, and trying to learn Kasey's "tells" in Secret Hitler. One of Wilma's favorite trips is probably their girls trip down touring vineyards in Virginia!

Shee Shee is such a fun, bubbly, and positive person with so many different interests and talents. She always has the best parties down in DC, with her delicious dumplings and cozy eclectic furniture collection. She and Kasey were there from the start of the relationship - testing Robert (and ultimately giving him the thumbs up) at a very scary Halloween hike on their 4th date. Robert and Wilma couldn't imagine a better person to make their relationship official!
