BWI (Baltimore-Washington International Airport)

The most convenient airport is BWI (52 miles). There is a bus from BWI to Frederick called the BayRunner Shuttle that you can book: https://bayrunnershuttle.com/ However, the best way to get around is probably by renting a car!

DCA (Ronald Reagan National Airport)

While this airport is about as far as BWI (54 miles), it has worse transportation options to Frederick. There is possibly a once-a-day MARC train (https://www.mta.maryland.gov/schedule/marc-brunswick), but we recommend renting a car and driving if you decide to fly into DCA.

Where to stay

We recommend staying in old town Frederick - it's a cute area, and very walkable! If you are renting a car, you can stay down in the DC area if you'd like to explore the city.
