For anyone interested in coming to Italy the weekend before the wedding, Robby is organizing a group to experience a soccer game and help him cheer on Inter Milan! Stresa has so many amazing restaurants - it's hard to go wrong! Our favorites are Lo Stornello and Osteria Mercato. For pizza, Osteria degli Amici and Taverna del Pappagallo are great. If you have some time and are looking for a stunning view of the lake from a higher elevation, check out La Rampolina, it is exceptional. If you are looking to dine on one of the Borromean Islands, Verbano on the Pescatori island is a must! Some cozy, laid back dive bars to check out are La Bolleria and Camelot.

Fun fact - A portion of Lake Maggiore actually spans into Switzerland! As a result, there is a wonderful day trip option to visit Switzerland. The day trip includes a three hour boat ride to Locarno Switzerland, a train from Locarno to Domodossola, Italy and a train from Domodossola back to Stresa. If you have the time, this is a great way to spend a day!
