Cameron Barnewall and Robbie LaBounty kept running into each other for several years before they got together. Legend has it that she may have even had a crush on him for a while. Legend also has it that he is extremely aloof and couldn’t have picked up on it if he tried. His sister Laurie worked with Cameron at the same dog daycare, along with his groomsman Andrew Ostrow’s now-wife Zoe. Robbie and Cameron would always go to the parties that people from the dog daycare threw. However, on one fateful evening, Robbie asked her if she wanted to hang out sometime. Little did they both know that one hangout would turn into a lifetime of friendship…and romance! Robbie showed his affection by bringing her a burrito from his favorite taqueria, Taqueria de Anda, similar to how a penguin gives a shiny pebble to their potential penguin mate. She accepted the burrito by devouring it in minutes and then they proceeded to enjoy watching TV from her apartment in Orange. He met her dog Huck Finn, who was still very much a pup with way too much energy, and Robbie wasn’t entirely sure how much he was going to enjoy having this crazy dog around. They continued talking and hanging out, and hanging and talking. And as they spent more time with each other, their feelings for each other grew. There’s no way that Robbie could have predicted that this would eventually lead to them getting married. Robbie loved how smart she was, her sense of humor, and her perfectly imperfect way of thinking about things. Cameron loved how she felt so grounded and comfortable, and that she was always laughing and learning new things when she was with him. He didn’t mind that her apartment was a bit messy at times (it made him feel normal about his messy room). And she didn’t mind that, at the time, he was unemployed between campaign gigs (bless her heart). Their relationship continued to grow until an unprecedented pandemic hit the world and changed everything. So, just six months after they officially started dating, Robbie asked if he could move in with her so as not to put his parents at risk because he was running around working. During a time when many other people were feeling trapped in their homes with their significant others, Robbie and Cameron were loving cohabitation. They enjoyed spending time together so much that they knew they wanted to do it forever. Robbie also started taking Huck for walks to get out of the house, and they became so bonded that now we’re pretty sure Robbie is Huck’s favorite out of the two. Since then, they’ve visited Oregon, Miami, the Caribbean, Disney World, Puerto Vallarta, San Luis Obispo, Disneyland (of course), Nashville, Vegas, Colorado, NorCal, and San Diego. Robbie has supported Cameron in her weight loss journey and been both her chef and trainer. They’ve watched countless TV shows, from Game of Thrones to every anime under the sun. They’ve also been to SIX weddings, and now, they greatly appreciate you coming to theirs.
