Things To Do

Arches National Park

Arches National Park

UT

Arches National Park is a magnificent piece of red rock. Take a trip into the park to get stunning views of arches, natural bridges, and impeccable views of the La Sal mountains in the distance. Some of our favorite hikes include Delicate Arch, Fiery Furnace, and Devil's Garden. There are also some nice viewpoint areas within the park that won't require you to hike as much, such as the Windows section.

Canyonlands National Park

Canyonlands National Park

UT

Canyonlands National Park is a bit further down the road and offers a wide range of activities. Some notable hikes are Grand View Point, Upheaval Dome, and if you're looking for a longer hike, Druid Arch Trail. A really nice viewpoint in this park would be Mesa Arch, offering impeccable views at sunrise. This park offers endless opportunities to explore and get a real feel for southern Utah.

La Sal Loop Road

La Sal Loop Road

UT

The La Sal mountains are a special place for us. We explored these mountains quite a bit in our earlier days of dating. If you take the La Sal Loop Road on the south part of town, you will find yourself high in an alpine setting, with the chance to immerse yourself in an environment quite different than the one below. This road is enchanting in the fall, and you can stop at different viewpoints along the way to soak in the fall colors while standing in awe of the desert landscape below.

Dead Horse Point State Park

Dead Horse Point State Park

UT

Dead Horse State Park is a gorgeous space full of incredible red rock vistas and small little trails along the tops of the canyon walls. This is the best place in the area for sunset views, and it gives people a towering perspective over the desert below. While there aren't many established trails around the area, you can still roam around the different viewpoints and appreciate the beauty. If you have been wondering where we took our engagement photos on the Home page, this is the spot.

Fisher Towers National Recreation Trail

Fisher Towers National Recreation Trail

UT

Fisher Towers is by far our favorite hike in the area. It offers breathtaking views, great exercise, and a chance to feel like you are truly lost in the desert without actually getting lost (hopefully). The fall is an awesome time to do this hike, as it won't be too hot and the views of the surrounding areas all tend to blend in together so well. This is where we’ll go for The Hike on Sunday. See the Schedule page.
