Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We do recommend staying at our venue, Red Cliffs Lodge. Most other hotels in the town of Moab are about a 25-minute drive away from the venue on scenic Highway 128. The road is beautiful during the day, but is not well-lit at night. To save a bit of money, we would recommend staying in town on Saturday night when you arrive, and booking Sunday and Monday at the venue. To book a room in our discounted block at the lodge, please visit our travel page.

Question

Why postcard invitations?

Answer

Travel and exploring new places and cultures is a huge part of our relationship. We have been collecting postcards from the different places we've visited since the beginning of our relationship. We always had the idea that we would send these postcards instead of a traditional wedding invitation. Now you are receiving a small part of our adventures!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Our dress code is Western formal. Don your normal formal wear with Western accents like cowboy boots, bolo ties, and cowboy hats! Our wedding will be held outside.

Question

Why are you having your wedding on a Monday?

Answer

Good question! We wanted to save our guests a bit of money because the hotel rate is cheaper on Sunday and Monday evening! We understand that our guests will have to take time off from work, and we hope that you can take Monday off and travel back on Tuesday. We really appreciate everyone's efforts to make it out to our wedding weekend. It will be an unforgettable experience for all!

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Since we live overseas in China, we aren't registering for traditional wedding gifts or any gift that needs to be carried or shipped. More than anything, we value the gift of experience over things. If you would like, we would be incredibly thankful for a contribution to our African Safari Honeymoon Fund to help us create memories that will last a lifetime.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

To keep our ceremony and celebration small and intimate, we are unable to accommodate extra guests or plus-ones. We are hosting a very limited number of people, and we look forward to celebrating with you!

Question

How is the weather in Moab in October?

Answer

The weather in Moab during fall is simply amazing. You will be enchanted by the natural beauty situated all around you, as well as comforted by the dry and warm air wrapping itself around you. You should expect pleasant mild days with highs in the high 60s to low 70s Fahrenheit (around 20-22 Celsius) and cool nights dropping into the low 40s (around 4-5 Celsius).

For all the days along the way
