Question
How do I get to the venue, and at what time?

Question
Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?
Answer
The ceremony will be held outside facing the mountains. Cocktail hour will also be held outside, and the reception will be held in a covered event tent. In the event of adverse weather, the ceremony will also be in the event tent.

What is the dress code for your wedding?
Answer
Please wear what you’re comfortable in; in this outdoor setting, semi-formal attire and shoes that are comfortable for walking and dancing on grass and wooden flooring are recommended.

What are accessibility considerations?
Answer
The wedding day will be outdoors in both covered and uncovered spaces, weather depending. If you drive to the wedding venue, parking will be a 5-15 minute walk from the ceremony space, depending on your speed. If you take the provided transportation from the designated wedding hotel, you will be let off at the ceremony site. After the ceremony, there will be another 5-15 minute walk to the reception site with some uneven paths and slight hills. Transportation around the site can be arranged to minimize walking. Please let us know if there’s anything we can consider when you RSVP, or don’t hesitate to contact us in advance.

Can I bring children or a plus-one?
Answer
Your wedding invitation will mention everyone in your party to include in your RSVP. This will include the names of any invited children or plus-ones. If you would like to bring someone who is not currently on your RSVP, feel free to reach out!

What will the weather be like?
Answer
Charlottesville in late September can be warm, but it is typically not too hot. A light jacket may be helpful for the later hours.

Can I take pictures?
Answer
We respectfully ask that guests put away mobile devices during the ceremony. Feel free to take as many pictures as you like during the reception!

Do you have a gift registry?
Answer
Many of you are traveling across the globe to celebrate with us in Virginia, so your presence means the world to us and is all we ask for. We would be very touched if you could bring a printed photo of a favourite memory with Rob or Anne Marie (or both) to add to a photo wall at the wedding. If you feel strongly that you'd like to give us any further gift, please speak directly with James and Diane Saunders or Simon and Vanessa Daly.
