Some of the closest mountain biking from Salida, S mountain offers incredible views of the surrounding valley and will drop you right into the center of town to enjoy well-earned libations and/or snacks afterward
Midland Bicycle Trail
A touch up the road in Buena Vista, Midland trails offer a more gentle incline/downhill with the same great views
High Side! Bar & Grill
This is our favorite restaurant and hang out spot in Salida! The outdoor patio will be popping this weekend in particular and is a great spot to watch all the FIBArk events come in at the "wave" in the center of town.
Browns Creek Falls
5.7 mile moderate hike that takes about 2.5-3 hours and ends at a beautiful waterfall
Buena Vista
Explore the valley and head up to Buena Vista! Very similar vibe to Salida, and also the home to Eddyline Brewing Co. BV is a haven for mountain bike and whitewater enthusiasts alike.
Mount Princeton Hot Springs
Relax in one of the many hot springs surounded by 14,000 foot peaks - Highly, highly recommended this one!
Cottonwood Hot Springs
Cottonwood is more of a laid-back hot spring in the area. Prepare to be able to take a dip in the cold waters of the river followed by pools up to 104 degrees
Monarch Crest Tram Ride
Scenic tram ride to the top of the continental divide with 360 degree veiws of 5 mountain ranges spanning the Rocky Mountains
