Kick off the Weekend Float!

9:00 am - 1:30 pm

We are kicking off our weekend with a group raft trip and would love to have as many people join as possible! This event is not coordinated so please read everything! We will meet at 9:00 AM at the Drift In to put in the river around 10:00 AM. There is a rental company on-site called Independent Whitewater who do raft or kayak rentals. Call them for rentals! The float is about 2 hours long and will take us to Salida Town Boat Ramp. You will need to coordinate with your group to either shuttle someone's car to the take-out, or pay Independent Whitewater to shuttle for you. When we get back to the Drift In after the float, we can have drinks on the water! *The option on the website for the raft shuttle is "Big Bend to Salida" *Keep in mind this is an unguided trip. We will have people in our party who read the river well, and it is a relatively easy float most of the time, but there will not be official guides, and we cannot guarantee how high/fast the river will be
