Risa and Colin lived in close neighborhoods in Brooklyn. They met each other on a dating website and one night had dinner near Risa's apartment. The two hit it off and had a great time and as such they began hanging out here and there. Risa would come to the Brooklyn Bridge park near Colin's apartment and they would grill out and enjoy the view. That summer the two became good beach buddies. After a few months of casual dating, Risa developed feelings for Colin and Colin realized he had finally met one of the sweetest, best intended, warm hearted and mannered women in the world. As time went on, being they both were music and food junkies, the two found they were doing everything together and that there was no other person they would rather explore the center of the universe with (Colin was a little more excited about the craft beer scene than Risa, but as long as there were cats involved she would accompany him on even those explorations). When Colin moved into Manhattan, he asked Risa to come with him. She said yes and the two have been inseparable ever since. Not long after living together Colin proposed - the rest is history...
