Getting Here
Option 1 (recommended): Fly into Managua then 2.5-hour drive to Rancho Santana Option 2: Fly into Liberia, Costa Rica. There are more direct flights but you will have to navigate the border crossing, meaning you will need to get a ride to the border, walk across and get transportation on the other side. There doesn't seem to be an option to drive directly from Liberia into Nicaragua without walking across the border. Option 3: There are local flights if you are fancy and don't want to drive. You can fly from Liberia or Managua to Costa Esmeralda Airport. After that it is just a short shuttle to Rancho Santana. If you fly to Liberia this seems to be your best option. To book flights look at Sansa Air for options. Rancho Santana strongly suggests allowing them to arrange transportation from either Managua or Liberia. They work with private companies and will group individuals arriving at similar times into SUV's, Vans or Coasters that seat from 4-20. A local cheaper option is to use Pancho Rides. They provide shuttle services around Nicaragua and were also recommended by the resort. https://www.panchorides.com/

Cars can be rented in Managua (for VERY CHEAP) for those who want to drive themselves, however, rental car companies do not allow border crossing (Costa Rica to Nicaragua). Cars can also be rented on-site for those that will want/need transportation. The property is large and getting to some locations call for vehicle transportation.
House Or Rental
The Inn on the Rancho Santana property
There are 3 options Option 1: We have blocked the 17 Rooms located at The Inn on the Rancho Santana property. Those staying there will get a 30% discount on the room rate. Please book directly with erik@ranchosantana.com. The Inn will be the meeting point/transportation pick up for the beach party and welcome reception and also be the location of the actual wedding. Option 2: Also through Erik, you can book at either the Residences or the Villas, as these are all in close proximity to The Inn. Option 3: For those interested in a stand-alone home, reach out directly to us so we can help make sure you book a house close to us and the events. A rental car is required for those renting a home. These can be procured on-site for those using the resorts shuttle service from the airport. A car is not required if you're staying at The Inn, Villas or Casitas. It is suggested for those that will want to explore the property.

As we are gathering to celebrate our I DO, we encourage you to partake in many of the Ranch 'must-do' activities. The Ranch has a farm to table restaurant, yoga classes, gym, private chef services, surf lessons and rentals, spa services, nature walks horseback riding and more. The Ranch even has it's own grocery store and many of the homes have kitchens so don't be afraid to cook as long as you invite us! Before getting to Rancho Santana be sure to download the App, you'll find lots of useful information about the property there.
