Audrey and Rick met on a rainy summer night in 2018, having arranged a date through mutual digital interest... What became clear immediately, at least to Rick, was that Audrey was one of a kind, finding himself drawn in by her intelligence, passionate beauty and unique take on a number of things (some of which not necessarily first date topics, but we know she goes there). Audrey realized that Rick could keep up with and amplify her energy, drawn in by his curiosity while feeling a sense of grounding in his presence. Over months and years, they realized that they shared much in common and a deep bond grew, and of course was tested (cemented) through conventional and unconventional ways. Through moving in together during a pandemic, navigating shared space and defining boundaries when locked inside, to moving across the country - all leading towards understanding what they built could go the distance… Cut to a quiet dock in the Florida Keys on a warm February evening at sunset, ring heavy, when the moment was perfect… Her reaction and the flood of emotion knowing we would get to spend the rest of our lives together summarized the end of that chapter, and the start of a new one.
