Check out Cascade Falls Trail while you're near the south shore of Lake Tahoe. Featuring a modest but gorgeous waterfall, and great views of Tahoe, this 1.5 round trip trail ensures amazing views with minimal effort.
Secret Cove is gorgeous all year round, and lets you get right up to the shoreline. You might not want to dive in once we reach November, but you can appreciate the view!
For the more adventurous folks, summiting Mount Tallac might be a highlight of the weekend. This 10.5 mile trail with over 3,000 feet of elevation gain offers amazing views of Lake Tahoe and the Desolation Wilderness.
If you're into craft beer, test out a few of the south shore's breweries. The craft beer in south lake rivals craft beer in any mountain town. See if you can make it to all nine breweries in the area!
Head down to Hope Valley to take in the fall foliage that early November will offer. Hope Valley has an abundance of aspen trees that turn bright yellow and orange in the fall. It's something you don't want to miss!
If golfing is your thing, try out Edgewood's famous golf course. The Edgewood resort in and of itself is something to behold, and the views from the course are something you don't want to miss if you're a golf fanatic!
