Getting to Telluride

Most of our Colorado-based guests will choose to drive to Telluride. It is roughly a 5 hour drive from the Denver area. For our out-of-towners, you can fly directly into Telluride Regional Airport (KTEX)! If that doesn't work for you, other nearby airports include: Montrose Regional Airport (MTJ) - 1 hour 15 mins from Telluride Gunnison–Crested Butte Regional Airport - 2.5 hours from Telluride Durango-La Plata County Airport - 2.5 hours from Telluride You can book a rental car from any of the regional airports listed above. You can also obviously fly into Denver International Aiport (DIA) but it is a 6 hour drive to Telluride. We recognize getting to Telluride is not an easy feat. We are so appreciative of our guests making the trip out here and completely understand if it is a bit too out of the way for others. If you are able to join us in Telluride, we promise the long haul will be worth it! We cannot wait for all of our loved ones to experience our beloved San Juan Mountains and one of our very favorite places on Earth. We encourage our guests to make it a long weekend (or even longer!) trip so you have time to explore all of the beauty around Telluride!

Rental Properties

We recommend our guests look into booking a rental property as these options can be significantly cheaper than hotels in the area. Rental properties in the area range in size from studio / one bedrooms all the way to large homes than can sleep 10+ people. We encourage our guests to think about sharing a rental property with other friends or family in order to take advantage of the cost savings (plus you get to stay in a stunning mountain home!). In terms of location, feel free to book a place in either downtown Telluride or in Mountain Village (the ski resort area within Telluride). We will have a shuttle pickup in both locations. Mountain Village is a very short drive to downtown Telluride and it's also connected via a free gondola if you don't want to drive! You can walk out of your Mountain Village rental, hop on the free gondola, take in some amazing views along the way and arrive in downtown just 10 minutes later! We do not have a room block at any hotels in Telluride. For reference, Rich and I and our immediate families will be staying at two rental homes very close to the Bear Creek Lodge in Mountain Village.

This lodge in Mountain Village offers one bedroom - four bedroom condo rentals (book through Telluride Lodging linked below). This lodge is very close to where Rich and I and our immediate families will be staying in rental homes. And this is likely where we will have the shuttle picking up / dropping off!
