What is the venue like?

Answer

Our venue is a working family ranch just outside of Telluride. The ceremony will be outdoors, in a grove of aspen trees. The cocktail hour and reception will be a short walk away (on a dirt path) and will be outside on a grassy area. We will have a tented wedding reception. Our venue is at almost 9,000 feet so even in August, it will get chilly after the sun goes down. Please be prepared for this and bring a jacket!

Are children allowed at the wedding?

Answer

We have decided to make our wedding an adult-only celebration so we ask that you please leave your little ones (under 18) at home! Trusted babysitters are available in Telluride: https://www.telluridesitters.com/ Kids are welcome at the Welcome Event the night before.

What should I wear?

Answer

Mountain Chic -- think Cocktail attire with a mountain/western twist. Please no blue jeans. Examples here: https://www.pinterest.com/ananeumann/wedding-dress-code/ If you want to pull out your western hat, bolo tie, cowboy boots, etc., go for it! But please don't feel like you have to wear any of those items. Can't wait to see you all and we hope you have fun with it. Please be prepared for the weather and bring a jacket! Our venue is at almost 9,000 feet so even in August, it will get chilly after the sun goes down. Our venue is on a mountain top, which makes for incredible views, but it can be a bit windy. Ladies, we'd recommend wearing a mid length-long dress, so that you are not holding down your dress all afternoon. In terms of footwear, our wedding will be outside at a ranch so you will be walking in grass / dirt. Ladies, please make sure that you are wearing shoes that will work for this and steer clear of a thin heel. Now is the perfect time to bust out those cowgirl boots! Or stick with a wedge heel.

Is there transportation to and from the wedding?

Yes! There will be shuttles serving both the town of Telluride and the town of Mountain Village. Please consult the instructions below based on where you are staying. Guests Staying in Telluride: At 3:00 PM sharp, two shuttles will pick up guests at the San Miguel Courthouse. Copy and paste the link below for the exact address. A note on altitude

Answer

Our venue is at almost 9,000 feet above sea level. Please be mindful of this and ensure you are hydrating properly during your time in Telluride to avoid altitude sickness. Also, remember that alcohol hits differently in the mountains... 1 drink at altitude = 2 drinks at sea level. Looking out for ya ;)

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you. We want to keep the weekend as intimate as possible, with just our closest friends and family.
