Lynchburg's staple, hole in the wall burger spot. Known for their cheesy westerns, chili bowls, and glass bottle coke, it's not a 5 star meal by any means but it's cheap, tasty, and leaves your belly full. Who can ask for more?!
A beautiful paved trail that goes alongside the James river. You can walk, run, or bike the trail. There is a bike shop downtown that has bicycles available to rent.
A beautiful stop on the Blueridge Parkway that has a lovely paved path around a lake and bar available for spirits. If you'd like to challenge yourself, there is a hiking trail that goes up "Sharp Top" mountain. This is a further trek out of town, but it well worth the visit.
