This is our favorite spot to pick up fresh seafood. It's right by the Stop and Shop where you'll get most of your goods for the weekend. Mac's has a great selection of seafood and Lobster, plus some fancy cheeses and cured meats.
This place is always packed. The selection varies slightly from Provincetown, even though it’s the same owner. This Mac is a great businessman!
They’ve got what you need. We always get a ton of stuff and then wind up back there the next day because we forgot what we actually were there for in the first place.
There’s a decent wine selection (nothing too fancy, but loads of rose), lots of cold beer, and a good booze selection. It’s in the P-Town triangle between Macs and the Stop and Shop. Make your life easy.
Kevin here. I really just wanted to include that parenthetical. That’s actually the name of this tiny cigar shop/liquor store. While their selection is small, it’s the best place to grab a cigar in town (if you’re into that kind of thing). Last time Adam and I were there we found bottles of Old Weller 107 Bourbon for like $25. That means something to some people reading this, I swear.
A P-Town institution, it’s exactly what you want. On the water, giant lobster tanks, Lobster Bibs. There’s no reservations, so go early get a buzzer and head to the dive bar next door. Order the Lobster Clam Bake.
This is a really gross/amazing dive bar. You must go. Do not sleep on this. And, no, you aren’t that drunk, the floor really is slanted. Cash Only.
This is the hipster version of Cape Cod dining. Great outdoor seating along the water, tasty local brews, and a backyard tiki bar that will keep you lingering the entire afternoon. Don’t miss tasty ice cream next door!
As the name states, go for beers and cocktails. It’s a tucked away little garden spot along Commercial that never feels too crowded. Cocktails are some of the better in town. The food is a little too “try hard,” so maybe just a little nosh while you drink and not a full meal. Great staff.
It’s pretty scene-y here, but people love it for the people watching. The seafood tower is the move.
This is the Rex ideal for P-Town. Super quirky and down home, it’s the kind of place that feels like it’s been there forever. A great spot for brunch, but be ready for a bit of a wait on the weekend.
It’s a little prepared foods shop/grocery store on the East End that is a great stop for an iced coffee and snack on your way to explore the rest of Commercial Street. Sooooooooper Cute.
If you’re heading to the beach, this is a convenient spot to get some provisions. They make tasty sandwiches to go, have a selection of cold beer and wine, and sell ice.
Ditto to East End Market. They have a satellite spot on Herring Cove Beach as well.
There has to be another adjective for quirky and eclectic. Everything in P-Town is quirky and eclectic, that’s why we love it! This sandwich shop on the West End is both quirky and eclectic and makes a tasty sandwich to go. Great to grab on your way to the boat dock. Skip the pimento cheese, as much as it breaks my heart to say so.
It may not look like much from the outside, but this is a P-Town institution. Grab a box of pastries and head to the dock to watch your ship come in. And for those hazier mornings, the linguica (Portuguese sausage), egg, and cheese sandwiches on a Portuguese roll can fortify you for the rest of the day.
Ok, no joke, this is awesome pizza. It’s open late on Commercial, so after you belt out the hits at Drag Queen karaoke, this is where you will need to be.
A lovely spot for sunset cocktails on the West End. While it’s slightly more expensive than some of the other spots on the list, it’s still reasonable for a glacial martini and few oysters. Get there early and snag the rocking chairs overlooking the bay.
We'll have dinner here on Wednesday for anyone who can make it. Otherwise, try to stop here on your way in or out of town. This is THE SPOT for lobster rolls, ice cream, and mini golf.
