Q + A

The Wedding Website of Rexanna Powers and Dylan deGruy
If you have other questions other than what is listed here or have any issues on the day of our Big Day, please reach out to the Matron of Honor, Lauren at (530) 635-5899 or the Best Man, Darren at (504) 314-5660.
Question

What should I wear?

Answer

While there is no dress code, please wear your Sunday best. We know it's late summer, and with this South Louisiana heat and humidity we want you to feel comfortable. For the ladies, this would be a semi-formal mini or midi dress. Have fun with the colors and/or prints! For our men, this would consist of a semi-formal suit of almost any color, dress shirt and tie optional.

Question

Where should we park?

Answer

For the ceremony at Christ Covenant Church, there will be plenty of parking near the church. There is also handicap parking available. In the event that the parking lot is full, the parking lot attendants will direct you to overflow parking at Glasgow Middle School. Please note that this will involve a little bit of a walk so please plan to arrive to our ceremony at least twenty minutes early. Our reception will be held at Oak Lodge At Bricksome. Parking will be available at this venue for our guests, free of charge.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

To ensure we stay within our venue's guidelines, we've only allotted for a certain number of people. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only, and we will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation when you visit the 'RSVP' tab. To ensure that we stay within our predetermined head count, reception venue staff will be monitoring guests upon entrance to the venue.

Question

Will There Be Food and Drinks?

Answer

Yes! We have selected our food for our reception and cannot wait to share a meal with you. We both love good food so rest assured that there will be many great options to choose from. An open bar will be available for beer, wine, and soft drinks and will also serve our Signature Drink. If you prefer drinks outside of what is listed here, please bring cash.

Question

Another Thing to Note

Answer

The weekend of our wedding, there will be a home football game. LSU will be hosting Tennessee (Geaux Tigers!). As a result, lodging may be tricky to reserve or prices may increase the closer the weekend gets. Please consider this when making your arrangements. In addition, our ceremony will take place approximately ten minutes from Tiger Stadium. Please give yourself time to travel from your hotel to the church - traffic will likely be heavier than usual during this weekend.
