Travel Note
For a quick and affordable ride, we recommend to take the train into the city. For those who prefer Taxi, when you exit the airport turn left and walk about 200m there will be someone in a bright yellow vest waiting with a line of taxis. There may be drivers approaching you asking if you need a taxi but they often rip tourists off so we recommend finding the people with the yellow vests setting you up with a driver.
Rental Car
If you chose to travel Israel for a while, we believe getting around by car is most convenient. Pre-book your car rental if you wont be going straight to the city. Note: everything in Tel Aviv can be reached by foot, bus, taxi or scooter, so a car wont be needed for that duration of the trip.
House Or Rental
For the most authentic experience we recommend to get an Airbnb while travelling around Israel. For Tel Aviv, we recommend staying in the following neighborhoods: Kerem HaTeimanim (fun and central) Neve Tzedek (more upscale) Lev Ha'Ir aka City Center (we live in this neighborhood!) Florentin (grungy but cool) All neighborhoods are walking distance from the amazing beaches of Tel Aviv! We are working on gathering more specific information on where to stay, but if you want to get a head start feel free to reach out! If a Hotel is your vibe, a good place to start would be Booking.com
Travel Note
Jerusalem (The Kotel, Church of the Holy Sepulcher, Tower of David, and Machena Yehuda Market) The Dead Sea (We recommend visiting the south part, around Ein Bokek, for the best beaches) The Golan Heights (Amazing history, nature and wineries. Pelter and Asaf Winery are our favorites!) Eilat (A city located in the south of Israel on the Red Sea that is surrounded by the red mountains of the Negev desert. Mosh beach is our favorite there. Bring your snorkels, the red sea is full of sea-life and coral reefs.) Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or need any recommendations :)
