The New Israeli Shekel (aka shekel aka NIS)
220W. Yes, you will need a converter for US plugs. This is the same plug that is used in Europe.
Yes! Israel has decent public transportation (buses and trains) - but it all shuts down on Shabbat (Friday sundown to Saturday sundown). Plan travel accordingly. We recommend using Google Maps, or downloading the "Moovit" app - there you can find real-time information on buses, and also pay for the bus through the app! (Here you will scan the QR code on the bus in the Moovit app and pay via Credit Card).
No - but we do have "Gett" which is the Taxi app. It works that same way Uber does, upload your credit card, select pick up and drop off location and see in real time where the driver is on the map.
Taxis or Scooters - Lime, Bird, Wind - you name it, we've got it! Please only ride on bike lanes to be safe! We highly recommend travelling by foot to fully grasp the beauty of the city and all the hidden little streets and gems.
Aside from everyone making the trip from far to celebrate this milestone with us, cash gifts are welcome.
