Join us at The Evergreen for dinner and drinks to welcome you to Portland and kick off our wedding weekend!
This event will be indoors in a restored building from the early 1900s. We suggest dressing in cocktail attire. (For the men, this means a suit with an optional tie, sports jacket or blazer, and slacks. For the women, this means a dress of any length, or a blouse with a skirt or dress pants.) Please note: there is limited street parking and a paid lot across the street. There will be passed appetizers starting at 6, and we'll sit for dinner at 7. For anyone interested, after dinner we'll be heading downstairs for a chill (un-hosted) afterparty at Loyal Legion, known for their enormous lineup of Oregon beers and speakeasy in the back.

This event will be in a covered outdoor area. We recommend cocktail attire. (For the men, this means a suit with an optional tie, sports jacket or blazer, and slacks. For the women, this means a dress of any length, or a blouse with a skirt or dress pants.) Please note: there is a decent amount of residential parking nearby but be prepared to park a few blocks away and walk if you choose not to take a taxi or Uber.
2:00 pm - 9:45 pm
We will be chartering a bus to take people directly from the Marriott Hotel in downtown Portland to The Orchard, our venue in Hood River. It's about 75 minutes' drive. There is no public transit or Uber/Lyft so either you take this bus or drive your own car. The shuttle departs Portland at 2PM, arriving in Hood River at 3:15PM. The return shuttle will depart Hood River at 9:45 PM and arrive in Hood River at 11PM.
3:00 pm - 5:30 pm
The ceremony will begin by 4pm, and cocktail hour will be from 4:30-5:30pm. We will have welcome drinks available starting at 3pm, please do not arrive earlier than 3pm.
This dress code for this event is garden party/summer formal. That means that your suit color is not limited to black, and feel free to wear your fanciest, funkiest attire! (For the men, this means a suit of any color in any fabric, with an optional tie, and jacket or blazer. For the women, this means a formal summer sundress or jumpsuit.) It is technically a summer wedding, but the weather has really pulled a classic Pacific Northwest and it looks like it's going to be a little chilly! So far we're seeing temperatures in the mid-60's with (fingers crossed!!) no rain. We will have space heaters for the reception, but consider wearing something a little warmer than you normally would in June, like a heavier suit or bringing a cardigan to stay warm.

For our out-of-town guests, we are happy to invite you all to attend breakfast before you return home. Nathan and Caitlin will not be joining ;)
