Our love story began when we were only 14 years old in a small town in Wyoming. Amelie was invited as a third wheel to the local Emerson Park swimming hole with one of her friends so the friend could hang out with her boyfriend of the time. Little did she know, there would be a crazy and loud boy there who would be jumping off the rope swing; a boy that would also be her future husband. For their first date, Reno took Amelie to the Kendrick Park Ice cream stand and then fishing at Acme Ponds. Reno spent lots of time preparing Amelie's fishing gear and she wondered off to stare at turtles after 5 minutes, a theme that continues in their relationship today. Reno proposed to Amelie on her first birthday out of graduate school. He spent hours preparing the perfect dinner, scary movie, and fun halloween actives before proposing in front of her younger sister. Reno and Amelie have continued to strengthen their relationship through their love of laughter, sports, horror, music, traveling, comic books, and so much more. In their years together, their time has been an amazing adventure full of laughter, love, travel, and unforgettable moments. They’ve built a life centered on love, acceptance, and family. They’ve supported each other’s personal and professional endeavors, celebrating every milestone along the way. Together, Reno and Amelie have grown as individuals and as a couple and they couldn't be happier to become husband and wife. They are so excited and grateful to be surrounded by their friends and family to celebrate their 7th anniversary and wedding day!
