Flight

CHS

Flying into CHS is the best option. It's the only airport in Charleston. There are several others that are 2+ hours away that we do not recommend.

Hotel

Charleston Marriott

170 Lockwood Drive
Charleston, SC 29403
 (843) 723-3000

We have reserved a block of rooms at the Charleston Marriott on Lockwood from November 4 - 6. Our wedding is late enough on Saturday afternoon that some of you may want to fly in Saturday morning to save on hotel costs. Use this link to make your reservation: https://www.marriott.com/event-reservations/reservation-link.mi?id=1656351698433&key=GRP&app=resvlink This hotel is within walking distance of the reception and less than a mile from the Cathedral. You can easily ride-share, carpool, take a pedi-cab, or walk (for you adventurous folks) to and from all of the locations. Our discounted guest room rate for a block of rooms over the dates of November 4-6, 2022 would be $289 per room per night, plus 14% tax and a $2.18 Charleston Destination Tax. * Full-Service Restaurant and Bar open from 6:30 AM – 11:00 PM (Beverage Service until 1:00 AM) * $14 Self-Parking * Complimentary Fitness Center * Business Center * Gift Shop with Souvenirs, Hot & Cold Snacks and Microwave * Pool in Courtyard area

Hotel

Charming Inns

King Street
Charleston, SC 29401
 (843) 722-8680

If you're looking for the quintessential Charleston hotel, we highly recommend booking a room with any of the Charming Inns. If you are the type that will spend a great amount of time in your room, really want that luxurious experience, these hotels are the best Charleston has to offer.

House Or Rental

Airbnb

There are many great AirBnB homes available in and around Charleston. We highly recommend that you experience Charleston as a local, not a tourist. Hotels are great; homes are better. For those of you who want to experience the beach, we recommend Sullivan's Island or Isle of Palms. For those of you who want to shop, we recommend downtown Charleston peninsula or Mount Pleasant.

Travel Note

Do you need a car in Charleston?

Depending on how long you're staying and what else you're planning to do, you may need a car in Charleston. You can use a ride-share app to get around if you don't feel like navigating Charleston traffic. The city does have public transportation but it's not robust or frequent enough to meet most folks' needs. If you're going to be in town for more than just the wedding and reception, we recommend getting a rental car at the airport when you land. Also to note-- much of downtown Charleston requires parallel parking. And if you head to the beaches, make sure if you park on the side of the road that all of your tires are off the pavement and you park going with the flow of traffic.
