Catching a spectacular view of the sunset from Sunset Cliffs is mandatory.
For the outdoorsy people. Roughly 7 mile roundtrip trek to the waterfall that can be done in flip flops if you so desire. You can either stay on the path or meander in the shade next to the stream and let the sounds of nature wash over you.
This is one possible option for the day after the wedding since it's very close to the Safari Park. It has a cute mini-village of shops, restaurants, and of course...really good wine.

San Diego has so many hikes you'll never get through them all while you're here. If you're willing to brave the heat, bring LOTS and LOTS of water and check out Mt. Woodson, Iron Mountain, or Mission Trails Regional Park. On second thought, just stay by the beach and sip margaritas.
Sip your way from beach hotel to beach hotel, play sand volleyball, should be lots of free entertainment in the evening.
