They have the best brownies in Rochester
A great Chinese restaurant open for take out and dine in!
Chipotle-style Indian food. We love the naan taco and buying jars of sauce to cook with from here!
The best spot in Pittsford to try the Rochester-famous "garbage plate" (french fries, mac salad, mustard, onions, meat sauce). We recommend picking up your plate and eating it down by the Erie Canal
A great Indian place for take out or to eat in, owned by the same family who owns Naantastic. Their makahni chicken is a must-try!
Pittsford's version of a burger joint. They have excellent fries and other fried food as well as root beer floats in a room filled with black and white pictures and red leather booths
A seafood and steak restaurant in Pittsford, definitely an expensive meal. This is the first fancy date that Peter and I went on together.
A great place to pick up homemade ice cream in Pittsford.
The best coffee shop in the Rochester area! Their London Fog is especially delicious!
A must for barbecue lovers
Peter and I went on a date here and the waiter thought he was proposing (he was not)! This spot has great beer and a fun atmosphere as well as good food.
This cidery offers flights of hard cider as well as delicious snacks and out back you can pick fresh fruit during their picking season!
Great for families and couples, the zoo has a larger variety of animals than you might expect. This was one date we were able to go on during the pandemic.
The Red Wings will be in town the weekend of our wedding! Catch a game if you like, this ballpark is really fun, offering zweigle's hot dogs and local beer! The fan base is really dedicated and games are so fun to watch!
Record Archive is a huge store filled with vinyl, CDs, DVDs, games, clothes, and more. It is a great way to fill an hour or so. Peter and I always get the mystery DVD grab bag and love opening it up to find out what we got. Usually we only make it to the parking lot before checking.
Check out the George Eastman House, one of the biggest homes in Rochester where the founder of Kodak once lived. They let you walk through the house and always have interesting photography on display.
This is a super cute bookstore located directly next to Christ Church Pittsford. Peter and I have been on several occasions and can't help but pick up a new book each time we visit!
This is the Wegmans Becca went to growing up and it is her favorite grocery store on the planet. Peter agrees that it is a nice grocery store. Wegmans was founded in Rochester NY, there are many to choose from so if you end up needing something check one out. They have coffee, and hot food you can eat right in the store!
A great place to access the Erie canal and start a walk. Plus there are some cute shops in this area of town, a cupcake place, and even a dog-friendly coffee shop
This is a super fun place for adults and children alike! We enjoyed wandering through the toy museum exhibit and playing a bunch of arcade games, but there are so many excellent thing to explore here. They also have their own parking garage so you don't have to worry about finding a spot. Give yourselves a couple of hours to properly enjoy all the museum has to offer!
Open Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays this is a great spot to stroll around and find fresh fruit and tasty food!
A nice spot to swim in one of the Great Lakes! The water is usually a nice temperature and pretty calm as well!
Movie theater if you're interested in seeing a movie while you're in town. Check out the Little as well for an older style movie watching experience!
A great spot for some mini golf, this place has two different mini golf courses and happens to be right by Naantastic
This Goodwill is always fun to poke around in. We found a $12 recliner for our apartment that is still in good working condition
This ice cream place makes duck-egg ice cream that is super rich and creamy and has incredible flavors. Their waffle cone is amazing and you can watch their ducks and chickens wander as you eat it. It is in Penn Yan which is about an hour away from Rochester
A cute little candy shop in Penn Yan, this is the only place we have ever found sky bars (Peter's favorite candy) and they also sell salt water taffy from Taffy Town which has the most flavorful taffy we've ever had (try the caramel apple if they have it!)
About an hour outside of Rochester this is one of many wineries in the finger lakes and is the first place Peter and I ever went wine tasting together. We both bought a bottle of wine, one of which we only opened after we got engaged!
If you decide to go to Penn Yan, stop here for lunch and order their pancakes. They were the best pancakes we have ever had.
