Travel Note

Travel in and around Utah

If you plan to visit Utah simply to attend our wedding (thank you!), we recommend flying in and out of Salt Lake City and renting a car. There are no ride share options in Eden. Our wedding venue is about an hour drive from the airport. If you plan to add National Park visits in southern Utah to your trip, we suggest flying in/out of Salt Lake and Las Vegas as separate one-way flights. We are closer to Salt Lake, but if you plan to visit parks in the south, consider flying in/out of Vegas and driving. The accommodations are located on site at the wedding venue; there are rental condos, townhomes, and single family homes of all sizes. There are 3 websites to find housing: Wolf Creek Resort, Basinview Lodge (at Wolf Creek), and VRBO. See links below for details.

Travel Note

Staying at Wolf Creek Resort

Wolf Creek is a golf and ski resort used by local residents and seasonal out of towners alike. May is sort of a shoulder season between ski season and golf season, and our wedding will be the first one of spring 2021! Lodging rentals are on a per unit basis as all are independently owned (it is not a hotel style resort). There is a restaurant at the golf course, but the hours may be limited (depends on when golf season starts, which we do not yet know). Since each unit has a full kitchen, we recommend grabbing whatever you need at the grocery store nearby. There’s a liquor store at the resort (you can buy beer at the grocery store, but wine and liquor are at the liquor store only). There are a few restaurants in Eden, as well as a couple of places in the canyon (The Oaks is small but has breakfast, lunch, and dinner; Gray Cliff Lodge has dinner and a Sunday brunch). Finally, you can always head into Ogden to 25th street for lots of dining and bar options (see Things to Do page).

Flight

SLC International Airport

We recommend flying into Salt Lake City (SLC), it’s the closest airport to the venue. Note: allow 15 minutes to get to your gate from the airport entrance, the new layout of the airport makes for a long walk (no tram or shuttle currently).

Rental Car

Salt Lake City International Airport

The venue is an hour from SLC. Renting a car is our suggestion. There are other rental car locations away from the airport which may be less expensive.

Rentals in and around Wolf Creek Resort. 1-4 bedroom, 2-3 night minimum stay. Most of these units are closest to the ceremony and reception sites.

At this time, only larger properties (3+ bedrooms) are available through this site. When booking, please use the code BEX&TEX to receive our wedding discount (through this lodging website only). All have a 2-3 night minimum, many rentals include a free golf package.

Additional lodging at Wolf Creek Resort

There are many lodging options available at Wolf Creek Resort that are not found on the resort webpage. We recommend searching through VRBO.com as well. Many property owners do not seem to list on the main Wolf Creek Resort page. Type in Eden, Utah for the location and the travel dates and it will bring up these options in and around Wolf Creek Resort. There are 1-4 bedroom condos at Wolf Lodge, Basin View Lodge, Powder Condos, and additional condos in Moose Hollow. Book soon for the best options!
