Russell and I met by chance and ever since have been lucky in love! One of my friends was playing on an intramural basketball team that just so happened to include the whole men's golf team. She asked if I wanted to go watch her game, and since it was a Sunday night and I didn't have anything better to do I said I would go. We were waiting around for the court to clear and the boys showed up. They were discussing golf and I couldn't help but brag that I played golf in high school too (not very well I might add) and I had a state championship ring (again, not because of my performance on the team). This sparked some interest from Russell and we talked a little more before the game. Unfortunately we did not exchange phone numbers, so I didn't hear from Russell after that. The following week on spring break, I friended Russell on Facebook. Shortly after accepting my request, I got a message from Russell, "Do I know you?". Being the witty person I am, I quickly replied that it was bold of him to friend and message someone that he possibly did not know. Apparently he found my witty response funny and cute because we have not stopped talking since that day! Russell and I have been together since 2015 and will have been dating for 7 years before getting married! I like to think that since we met by a stroke of luck, it is only fitting that we are getting married in our lucky 7th year!
