Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

We don't know! It's New England. Current forecast is that it will be quite windy for the ceremony. Please bring a sweater or shawl.

Question

What is Cocktail attire, Semi-Formal or Dressy-Casual attire?

Answer

Cocktail A small step above semi-formal (which we'll get to next), cocktail attire is an extremely popular choice within the wedding space. Instead of a floor-length dress, some women opt for a tea-length, knee-length, or midi look. And while tuxedos are no longer an option, men are expected to wear a suit and tie, regardless of the wedding's setting. Semi-Formal Part of dressing for a semi-formal wedding is noting when the ceremony will take place. For evening events, darker, more formal colors are recommended, while light colors and airy fabrics work best for daytime affairs. Women often wear below-the-knee dresses, slip dresses, a dressy skirt and top, or an elegant pantsuit. As for men, opt for a dress shirt and slacks, with the option to wear a tie. "Semiformal gives you flexibility on comfort, but be sure not to dress too casually." Dressy Casual Dressy Casual attire will typically indicate that the wedding is being held outdoors or on the beach, meaning the event will be much more laid-back. With that said, jeans, shorts, tank tops, t-shirts, flip-flops, and sneakers are absolutely NOT appropriate unless specified by the couple. Women can opt to wear a summer sundress or a floral patterned mini, with wedges or dressy sandals. Men should choose to wear dress pants or khakis paired with a button-up shirt, with the option to also style their look with a tie or sports jacket. Takeaway: Wear whatever you want. Dress it up or down. Our preference is to wear something nicer than jeans and a t-shirt but leas formal than ball gowns and tuxedos. But if you decide to wear shorts and a Hawaiian shirt or basketball shorts and a t-shirt, a ball gown, or a pajama onesie, a t-rex costume, etc; you might get some judgmental looks and/or feel uncomfortable in the weather. If you're ok with that, go ahead!

Question

How do I get to your wedding?

Answer

By Car: If you are driving, there are two bridges you can cross from Massachusetts to the Cape. The Sagamore Bridge and the Bourne Bridge. Both will get you to where you need to go. If you're hungry on the way, our favorite restaurant is Stir Crazy https://stircrazycapecod.com/ By Air: If you are flying, we recommend flying into Logan airport. You can fly into Hyannis, Cape Cod or Providence, RI; but we find Logan to be the most direct way. From Logan Airport (BOS Boston): Famlouth/Woods Hole is an hour and a half from Logan airport. There is a Peter Pan bus that leaves regularly from Logan and can drop you off in Falmouth or Woods Hole. https://book.peterpanbus.com/#/purchaseflow/departschedules You can also rent a car at Logan airport, or hire a car service. Some suggestions can be found on the Travel section of this website TRANSPORTATION ON THE DAY: There will be roundtrip transportation from the ceremony to Highfield Hall provided to guests staying at The Inn At The Square and the Beach Breeze Inn

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We recommend you come on Friday and stay until Sunday. We will be staying on the cape several days leading up to and a few days after the wedding weekend, so if you want to make a longer trip out of it, we would love to spend more time with you. We recommend arriving to the ceremony location at 56 Surf Drive Beach at around 4:30pm. The ceremony will begin at 4:45pm. The reception at Highfield Hall will start at 5:30pm. If you are not interested in attending the ceremony, you can arrive at Highfield hall as early as 4pm.

Question

Will there be transportation provided to and from the ceremony and reception?

Answer

We will be providing roundtrip transportation to both the ceremony and reception to guests staying at the Inn At the Square and Beach Breeze Inn

Question

Can I give a speech?

Answer

Sure! If you have some words of wisdom or fun stories about the couple, please feel free to share your thoughts at the WELCOME DINNER on FRIDAY night.

Kids are welcome! With a heavy heart, pets are not. If you suspect your child might be disruptive during the ceremony, we request that your child attend the reception only.

Question

Answer

Yes please! We encourage everyone to bring cameras and cell-phones. You will be able to upload photos and videos (and video messages) at www.goodmorrison.com/photos Also, we have opted against a videographer, so the more guest-accrued videos, the better!

Question

Is there a gift registry?

Answer

We so very much appreciate you joining us at our wedding. Your presence is the best gift we could hope to receive. For those who wish to contribute further, our honeymoon registry is available. We appreciate you creating these lasting memories with us. The Good-Morrison family values experiences over material things. We especially feel this way in our very small but very full apartment.
