Katie Fulton
Maid of Honor
Katie is the reason Brittney and Derick met. Katie went to high school with Derick and was close friends with him. Katie also went to law school with Brittney, and they liked each other so much that they decided to become roommates their final year of school. When Derick moved up to Seattle for dive school, Katie introduced Derick and Brittney, and the rest is history. Katie is a confidant for both Derick and Brittney and someone they know will always have their backs.
Rex Rivers
Best Man
Rex is Derick’s brother. Derick and Rex have a bond that goes beyond words. When they were little, Rex would do all of the talking for Derick and make sure he was taken care of. Rex has always there for Derick in times of turbulence. It was a no-brainer that Derick wanted Rex by his side.
Mikaila Tubbs
Bridesmaid
Mikaila is Brittney’s sister. While Mikaila and Brittney were not exactly close when they were younger, their relationship has grown to become the ideal sister bond. You might catch those two getting ready together, jumping on their hotel bed, or prowling for their next meal.
John Wilkerson
Best Boy
Derick has known John since the third grade and doesn’t plan on letting anything break them up anytime soon. John can make just about anything out of wood and can identify any type of wood as long as its oak. John is one of the best dudes Derick knows, and Derick feels extremely lucky that John is in his life.
Meghan O’Keefe
Bridesmaid
Meghan is Brittney’s Big from Brittney’s undergraduate programs. A “Big” is essentially an assigned big sister/advisor role, but Meghan plays more of the “I’m a cool mom” role—getting Brittney out of trouble, only to suggest the next troublesome activity.
Jacob McManus
Groomsman
Derick met this sweet man in high school. Jacob is one of the goofiest, tenderest people. If Jacob has arrived there will be merriment and shenanigans to be had.
Emily Krueger
Bridesmaid
Emily and Brittney worked together after Brittney graduated law school. Emily quickly evolved into Brittney and Derick’s quarantine buddy, reality TV advisor, happy hour/donut ride or die, and emergency contact.
Zach Brown
Groomsman
Lumberjack Zach. Extremely handsome, moderately tall. Derick and Zach met in high school and golfed on the La Center team together. Many ridiculous van rides to golf matches forged a lifetime friendship.
Kenzie Grinsell
Bridesmaid
Kenzie is Brittney’s cousin on her mom’s side. They fortunately lived very close to each other while they were growing up and spent a lot of time together. Brittney sees Kenzie like another sister.
Zach Moore
Groomsman
Zach is lovable, gregarious, and single. If there’s a big red that says “do not push,” he’ll be pressing it. He’s a button pusher. He particularly enjoys pushing Brittney’s buttons. That’s why Derick and Zach get along so well. Zach is the only person Moore high maintenance than Brittney. We couldn’t be happier to have him in our lives.
Ryder Harris
Ring Bearer
Ryder is Brittney’s (“Aunt Bunny’s”) nephew and will no doubt be stealing the show. Please note that Ryder will be the only little one in attendance.
Pepper
Honorary Flower Girl
While Pepper will not be in attendance, Derick and Brittney are confident that Pepper will be ripping apart flowers and getting clothes dirty at her remote location.
Todd Barsness
Officiant
Todd and his family live across the street from Derick’s parents. Todd has an extremely dry sense of humor. As a sheriff, he’s use to breaking hard news to large groups of people. That’s why we chose him to officiate. Derick and Brittney frequent Todd and his wife Cindy’s house for board game days that stretch long into the night. Derick has chosen Todd and Cindy as his second godparents. They already have 4 children so they may not be able to afford him. Hopefully, it won’t come to that.
