The weather at the venue on our wedding date in 2021 was a perfect sunny day in the high seventies with a light breeze. However, the weather in the Pacific Northwest, and especially in the Gorge, can be a little unpredictable. We encourage guests to pack for both a sunny day in the high seventies and for a light rain/misty day.
We encourage our guests to stay at the Best Western Plus Hood River Inn because we are planning on renting a shuttle between that location and the venue. If you would like to stay at this location, consider booking as soon as possible because this is a popular hotel in the area and our wedding is on a holiday weekend. There are also several other hotels and AirBNBs in the area. Check out the Travel page for more information.
We are providing shuttles from the Best Western Plus Hood River Inn so that guests do not have to worry about driving or parking. There is also plenty of free parking at the venue site if guests choose not to take the shuttles. Please be safe, and do not drink and drive.
Yes! We made special effort to find a venue that would accommodate all of our guests. All of the walkways and primary locations at the venue are paved and wide. There are also plumbed bathrooms onsite that are ADA accessible. And we are providing a shuttle from the Best Western Plus Hood River Inn so that guests do not have to worry about driving or parking. So, come celebrate with us, worry free!
The closest airport is Portland International Airport (PDX).
The airport is a little under an hour a way from the Best Western Plus Hood River Inn and a little over an hour away from the venue. We recognize this is a little far, especially for our out of town guests, but we think you’ll find that the area is worth it. In addition to breathtaking views, there are lots of fun activities in the Hood River area including breweries, wineries, hiking, rafting, and golf. We are hoping people will take advantage of the three-day weekend and make a mini-vacation out of the trip! We can’t wait to celebrate with you!
Our venue has guest limits, so we ask that you do not bring a plus one who was not included on the invitation unless you have checked with us first and we approved.
We love your kids, but we respectfully ask that you do not bring your kids to the wedding ceremony and reception. We want to make sure all of our guests are able to enjoy themselves without distractions. If you will be bringing your kids to the area for the weekend, they are welcome to attend other events outside of the wedding ceremony and reception, like the brunch on September 5, 2022. Please let us know if you are bringing your kids for the weekend and are interested in coordinated childcare.
Ha! Yes. We are providing alcohol.
Unfortunately, we can no longer take RSVPs because we had to provide our final guest count to our venue. If you have questions about your RSVP or need to make a change, please contact the Bride and/or Groom directly.
