Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by April 3, 2021

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive by 2:30pm to be seated for the ceremony.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes. However, due to the ongoing pandemic and the fact that kids cannot get vaccinated it is entirely up to you whether you want to bring them or leave them with a grandparent/babysitter for the day. If you have any concerns, we encourage you to leave the wee ones at home.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Yes. However due to pandemic concerns and our attempt to scale down our guest list we ask that you check with us about this before RSVPing.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

There is not a strict dress code, but we would like to encourage people to get creative and dress up. Since we are having a boho pagan wedding out in nature please feel free to embrace that energy. Wear a kilt! Break out your dress wizard robes! Velvet blazers! Corsets! Chainmail! Or just you know, dress nice.

Question

Is there parking at SanaView Farms?

Answer

Yes, there is a parking lot and a large grassy area for overflow parking.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We are registered through Zola, where we built our wedding website. There is a page on the website that connects directly to our registry, in case you are interested in purchasing a wedding gift.

Question

What exactly is a Pagan Wedding?

Answer

As many of you may know, Robert is an atheist and Emily has considered herself to be a neo-pagan since she was very young. All this means is that we will be doing things differently, and non-traditionally. We will be married by a High Priestess acting as our officiant, and we will be doing a Celtic handfasting. We will be married outside under the trees in a celebration of nature. We may do a pre-ceremony ritual of casting a circle, which you are not required to attend (however if you are interested in being part of this ritual, feel free to contact us and let us know! You can also indicate this in your RSVP). For more information, check out this helpful rundown from Offbeat Bride. https://offbeatbride.com/pagan-weddings

Question

What will the food situation be like?

Answer

Our wedding will be catered by Sausalido and we will have a tapas style buffet with plenty of vegetarian and carnivorous options. No need to pick your entree ahead of time! You'll have plenty to choose from. We will also have passed appetizers and a veggie/fruit/cheese station during cocktail hour. No one goes hungry at our foodie wedding!

Question

Can I camp out at the venue?

Answer

One of the primary reasons we chose SanaView Farm as our new venue is because they encourage camping overnight on their property. Bring your tents and sleeping bags and let's make a weekend of it! Please note that this is the only 'lodging' available onsite for guests. If you would like to make other accommodations nearby, please consult the Travel page dedicated to that topic.

Question

Should I bring an instrument?

Answer

Yes! We are lucky to have so many musician friends, some of whom will already be performing at the reception. However, we encourage guests to bring an instrument (if you feel comfortable doing so, and want to play music). You could play a song during the reception, or you could just join a singalong by the bonfire. We really miss live music, and it is an essential part of the history of our relationship so we are excited to make our wedding weekend the live music event that everyone has been missing during quarantine.

Question

Do I need to be vaccinated before attending?

Answer

Yes. If you are able to get the Covid-19 vaccine before May - and do not have any serious conditions that prevent you from obtaining a vaccine - then please please do so. We are doing everything that we can to make our wedding safe and keep everyone healthy. But you must also do your part. If you refuse to get the vaccine then we ask that you respectfully decline.

Question

What kind of COVID safety precautions are you taking?

Answer

We are endeavoring to help everyone get vaccinated by May (please reach out if you need assistance). Additionally we are holding our ceremony and reception outside spread out on 52 beautiful acres of land. We ask that you mask up when entering the Barn for food/drinks or to use the bathroom. We will also be providing some fancy masks as favors. The barn will be left open for music and dancing, which means there will be a huge dancefloor where people can feel comfortable dancing without being pressed up against each other. We are having a served buffet, which means that everyone will take their own plate up to the buffet and the servers will dish out the food for you in order to cut down on the amount of people touching the food. We are limiting the number of people at each table to 4-6 per table with the majority of people seated with those they are already in close contact with, the tables will all be spaced 6-8 feet apart. If you have questions/concerns, please contact us directly.
