Wedding Party

Meet our friends and family who are walking us down the aisle!

Emily Henegar

Maid of Honor

Emily and Michelle have been dear friends since Michelle's freshmen year at Belmont, meeting in RUF and then deepening their friendship as Theta sisters when they realized they are not as much middle of the dance party girls as sit in the corner and gab ladies. As their friendship continued to blossom, they wrote a bible study together during 2021 when everyone was cooped up inside on relationships and romance through a view of the gospel. They have led it three times since. Now, they try to keep a weekly meeting on Monday mornings where they typically grab coffee and go on a walk. You can also catch them in some weekly parallel play, running ideas off of each other somewhere in East Nashville. Emily is an entrepreneur, starting her own business Cookie in the Kitchen and making "normal people feel like celebrities and celebrities feel like normal people". She makes cookies for birthdays, graduations, holidays, bachelorettes, baby showers... you name it! She also makes cookies for musicians that make their way through Nashville, most notably Taylor Swift, Harry Styles, Sabrina Carpenter, John Mayer. You should ask her about it if you see her around!

Shelby Morgan

Matron of Honor

Michelle and Shelby go way back to sophomore year of high school at Trinity Christian Academy. That's when they had their first deep talk in their library, but they realized they were best friends junior year of high school when they called almost every night to "talk about physic homework" (which really just turned into talking about everything from family to boys and to theology). When together, Michelle or Shelby are probably visiting each other in their respective states, Tennessee and Illinois respectively right now, or having a long phone call to catch up while taking a walk. Michelle is so honored to have Shelby as her matron of honor, bringing her wedding season expertise, since Michelle got to be one of Shelby's bridesmaids back a two and a half years ago in Georgetown, Texas when Shelby married Will Morgan, her college sweetheart from Texas A&M.

Mia Cervantes

Bridesmaid

Michelle and Mia first met through their mutual friend Reed Vaughn while at Belmont. Michelle is also Mia's big sister in their sorority Kappa Alpha Theta (in which they continued the family legacy of doing very cool things outside of the Greek system and not always showing up for meetings). When together, Michelle and Mia are probably talking about their favorite classic books they read growing up or scheming up new travel plans. You can catch Mia dog and cat sitting all over the world (hence the picture captured at West End in London) and taking picture for lots of weddings, engagements, and album cover art.

Paige Jackson

Bridesmaid

Michelle and Paige first met at Belmont during their freshman year, most likely in the cafeteria which then led to Michelle's attendance of Paige's chaco funeral the following month. If you have questions, be sure to ask her about it when you see her what a chaco funeral entails. When together, they are probably driving in the car and loudly listening to Sabrina Carpenter or Charli XCX or getting into a deep emotional, theological quandary. You can catch Paige trying out a new soup recipe or meeting up with a student for coffee since she works as as RUF intern in Arizona

Ella Molsee

Bridesmaid

Ella and Michelle became friends during Michelle's last semester at Belmont and during Ella's first. Michelle drove a group of freshman girls to a hike for RUF and was impressed by Ella's great music taste and they have been talking about it ever since. When together, they are probably talking about whatever books they have just read, writing a song, having a heart to heart, geeking about a musician they love, or making lots of callback jokes. Ella is currently a junior at THE Belmont University and about to put out her first solo project since high school under the name "ellegy", so stay tuned for that, folks. She also is currently employed at Ladybird Taco off of 12 South, so give her a holler if you stop by!

Rachel O'Brien

Bridesmaid

Rachel and Michelle have known each other the longest in this gaggle of gal pals! First spotted at play groups together, they started at Providence Christian School for elementary and middle school and then both switched to Trinity Christian Academy for high school. When together, Michelle and Rachel are probably talking about what theology book they read lately or catching up on what's going down in the PCS or TCA communities. You can find Rachel studying in Dallas at DTS and frequently traveling with her friends from college or the Institute program from Watermark all over the world.

Summerlyn Powers

Bridesmaid

First meeting their freshman year at Belmont, Michelle and Summerlyn have now lived together for the past 5 years. When together, they are probably writing a song and then getting SUPER excited about it or going on a catch up walk to Shelby Park. You can catch Summerlyn on the road with Pam Tillis or on the Nashville Road Show this summer and fall. She is also most frequently spotted two stepping at Honky Tonk Tuesdays or going antiquing for her new booth that she just opened up.

Heather Raybourn

Bridesmaid

Heather is one of the sweetest surprises of Michelle's life! Hailing from South Carolina and matching with Scott on Hinge, Heather is Michelle's fabulous and fun sister-in-law. They like to say they have had a beautiful enemies to lovers arc. Currently, Heather and Michelle are coworkers at City Church of East Nashville, YMCA gym budders, and errand runners. Heather has been an essential addition to the family with her joy and willingness to notarize anything and her penchant for finding government paperwork online. Here's to many more years of sisterhood!

Sammi Sous

Bridesmaid

Sammi actually first met Scott, Michelle's twin, first during summer orientation for Belmont. Then, she moved across the hall from Michelle in Thrailkill dorms and they have been buds ever since. When together, you can catch them doing their best to write a song together once a month or going out to catch a concert in Music City. You can catch Sammi working at Thistle Farms in West Nashville, heading to a nightly yoga class, or doing some soccer drills with her hubby Bebo.

Brielle Stein

Bridesmaid

Brielle and Michelle first crossed paths in high school at Trinity Christian Academy, but much to their joy and surprise became even closer friends after graduating! Michelle moved to Nashville and Brielle moved to Auburn and were some of their only friends to leave Texas, so had a good bit to share in that. Brielle even spent a summer living in Nashville with Michelle and her roommates for a graphic design internship. When together, they are probably sharing their favorite musicians via aux cord, talking about how therapy is going, or scheming their next time to visit each other. You can catch Brielle in Portland, Maine but ABOUT to be getting an art degree at the School of the Art Institute in Chicago. She is well known to be painting all of her household objects and posting pictures of her travels via instagram.

Sara-Jessica Thompson

Bridesmaid

Sara-Jessica and Michelle first crossed paths at City Church of East Nashville during which SJ started telling her younger brother Connor that "he should really get to know Michelle" for 6 months before they ever met. She really laid that ground work, along with Bedon and Caroline who were the first ones to petition for "Conchelle". You can spot SJ and Michelle snuggled up on a snow day and watching Love Island or eating some of her and Puffer's delicious culinary creations. She is a mother to many things, her two dogs Sue and Townes and a sour dough starter. She is employed at a jewelry store in town and also launching her own calligraphy and design business and is working with us on the invitations for our wedding. So, if you thought those were beautiful, tell her how great they are and considering calling her for your stationary needs!

Andy White

Best Man

Caleb Bevel

Groomsman

Caleb is Connor’s older brother, and oldest friend! Some of Connor’s earliest memories are playing video games, wrestling, and getting into trouble with Caleb. Caleb has a wife named Crystal, and two sons named Colton and Braden. When together, you will most certainly hear laughter and jokes galore! No matter how long it has been since they had last seen each other, they pick up right where they left off!

Jackson Gray

Groomsman

Jackson and Connor’s friendship goes back to high school, when they were both involved in a community together. Between building sets, programming lights, and occasionally singing and dancing, they eventually became great friends. They moved together to Huntsville AL where they lived and went to UAH. After leaving Huntsville, Jackson went on to travel all over the United States and eventually the world as a lighting designer and production manager for a number of tours from bands to musicals.

Ivan Sobek

Groomsman

Connor met Ivan through Mule Monday, a function put together by Michelle for all of her friends to gather weekly to catch up and have drinks together. Ivan and Connor became closer friends while discussing various topics like faith and music at Mule Monday, and eventually started meeting once a week for coffee as well. Over the last year, Ivan and his wife Kasey have become a dear friends of Connor’s and Michelle’s.

Zach Raybourn

Groomsman

Scott Raybourn

Groomsman

Puffer Thompson

Groomsman

Puffer and Connor met one snow day in Nashville in 2022. Connor’s sister Sara Jessica had a huge crush on Puffer and insisted they join Bedon, Caroline, and Puffer on a walk to the park. When Bedon and Caroline got married, Connor moved into Bedon’s room at the house that Puffer lived in. While living together, Puffer and Sara-Jessica got engaged and were married in June of 2024, and Puffer became Connor’s brother-in-law!

Bedon Lancaster

Groomsman

Bedon is the first person Connor met when he came to Nashville — at a house show of course. Bedon and his wife Caroline met Michelle while the three were chaperoning a youth retreat about a year before Connor and Michelle would meet, and knew immediately that they would be a perfect match! Needless to say, they had a huge part in bringing Connor and Michelle together!

Matt Simpson

Groomsman

Connor met Matt when he moved into Bedon’s old room in a house on Shelby Ave. Matt is known to be an incredible musician and songwriter and all-round good hang, and Connor has played a show or two in Matt’s band, Jacuzzi Suite. You’ll never meet anyone so down-to-earth and solid is this guy!

Chandler Wells

Groomsman

Chandler is the ultimate story-teller. Connor met Chandler at Mule Monday as well, probably telling a fantastic story of his sit-com worthy shenanigans! Chandler has been a great friend of Michelle’s for a long time, and has been a consistent grace in both Connor’s and Michelle’s life! Whether it’s with a good story, or a listening ear, Chandler has been a great friend to them both!

Mikey Rogers

Groomsman

Mikey and Connor met at Reading hour, another function of Michelle’s scheming. When Connor met Mikey they shared in their joy of reading the Lord of the Rings, both as an incredible story and as a window into the gospel story! Mikey is a man of many interests and talents, from watching movies, to writing, to worshipping through music, and he loves to share in those interests to connect with others!
