Matron of Honor
Anna and I technically met in May 2018 when we both graduated from Texas A&M with degrees in psychology. Anna was sitting behind me at the graduation ceremony and I happened to overhear her telling the girl next to her that she would be attending the Masters in HR program at A&M's Mays Business School. I shamelessly whipped around to introduce myself since I would be in the same program and made it a point to say hello to Anna on the first day of orientation a few months later. She remembered meeting me at graduation (kinda) and we became friends from there! When we graduated from grad school, I was headed to Georgia and she was headed to Chicago for our first jobs. She told me, "well, it was nice knowing you," after we crossed the stage. Puzzled, I told her "what, are we not friends anymore? I don't mind that we'll be so far away. I'm an excellent long distance friend." We did stay in touch and funnily enough, Anna ended up moving to Georgia herself just a year later. She also moved to the west coast shortly after I did, so I'm fairly certain she likes to follow me around, but that will be perfect for all the wedding support I'm going to need!

Bree and I met while in grad school and have been gabbing non-stop ever since. This fashionista and I were eager to secure summer internship offers as that was a large part of our goal for our program's first semester. We had just been to an information session for PepsiCo before we had interviews with them the next day. As we were leaving the info session, Bree turned to me and said "how nice would it be if we both got offers for PepsiCo and could be done recruiting?" She certainly manifested that opportunity because we both got offers and still work at PepsiCo to this day! We've travelled all over the US together, both for work and for fun, and really enjoy it when one of us moves to a new city as it gives us an excuse to go and explore that new city!

Grace and I have been friends ever since she moved to Pecos while we were freshmen in high school. I remember going to my 1st period class (Latin) and my teacher telling me, "we have a new preacher and his daughter, Grace, is in your class. Please be nice to her." Now, I don't think I would have been mean to Grace by any means, but I did appreciate the heads up because then I was on the lookout for this elusive new student. We had 4th period biology together with a legedary teacher (Ms. Scown!) and bonded over her repeatedly drilling into our heads that "the mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell". We've now been friends for over a decade, staying in touch through college, grad school, and even a few cross country moves!

Helen and I met during undergrad at Texas A&M as we were both psychology majors and part of an (at the time) exclusive club for honors students in A&M's College of Liberal Arts. We ended up living together for three years in two different homes and with three different roommates (and one dog - shout out to Simon for being hypoallergenic!). We've been to many Aggie football games, basketball games, and even a few late night fast food runs (Whataburger > Burger King, but we really went wherever the coupons took us). We also took several psych classes together and you'd be hard pressed to find a better study buddy!

Lindsey and I met when she started dating my brother, Nathan. In the early days of them dating, Lindsey asked him who his best friend was and when he said "my sister", she knew the pressure was on for us to become friends, too! Lindsey's bubbly personality and high energy made me quick to like her and want to get to know her more. She's become a very important part of my support network, always lending an ear when needed and giving good and thoughtful perspective. She also loves to have fun, and we've been able to do so many fun things, including watching her reel in a fish that was bigger than her!

Laura Lynn and I met while in grad school, where she became known as a keeper of the peace and queso making extrodinaire. We ended up being roommates during our last semester of grad school and became a bit of a hub location for others in our program as our townhome was close to campus and we had the best queso around. We had so much fun preparing tasty treats and cool decorations for themed parties during that semester. You'll find no greater hostess than Laura Lynn and she'll show you a thing or two on the dancefloor, too. After grad school, we've been on so many fun trips alongside Bree and Anna, including Hawaii, Savannah, Nashville, Boston, NYC, and LA! Laura Lynn's hospitality knows no bounds and her skills as a puzzler are truly unmatched!
