Day trip to Stanley, ID

Day trip to Stanley, ID

If you have the chance, we recommend making the 1 hour drive North of town to Stanley. Once there, explore the scenery, go for a hike, or bring a fly-rod to fish the Salmon river. Stanley has some of the most beautiful views in the country! They also have a few great places to eat: The Stanley Supper Club (nominated for a James Beard award!), the Sawtooth Hotel Restaurant, and The Stanley Bakery (a local staple). Redfish Lake and Stanley Lake are two of our most favorite spots to soak in the views of the Sawtooth Mountains.

Fly Fishing

Fly Fishing

Big Wood River - runs right through town (Ketchum and Hailey); your easiest access! Silver Creek Preserve - beautiful flyfishing, best accessed via float tubes which can be rented. Guide recommended for best success. Big Lost River - head over trail creek pass for a unique flyfishing experience (about 45 minutes away). Our favorite guides: Brett Wilson and Jake Nelson. Please ask us for other reccs or questions about gear (we've got a lot of supplies).

The Spa at Sun Valley Lodge

Self explanatory! If you are looking for some R&R and a pool with an amazing view to lounge at, we recommend the Sun Valley Lodge Spa. You'll get all day access to the pool with a spa service. A great alternative for spa bookings is "Zenergy" - which also has a pool and great views.
