FAQs

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

The wedding ceremony and reception will be ADULTS ONLY; children are not invited for safety reasons and to ensure maximum adult fun. Guests with children are welcome at the resort, but cannot stay at the lodge. Below are a few recommended childcare providers in the area for those who need it. Neta’s Nannies (530) 583-3579 www.netasnannies.com Joanna's Nannies (415) 834-8216 www.joannasnannies.com

Question

Where should we stay?

Answer

Sugar Bowl Resort has 27 rooms at the lodge (no children) plus a number of private houses available exclusively for wedding guests. Once we get a better sense of who is able to attend, we will follow-up with attending guests to provide specific instructions on how to confirm your reservation for the room or house we have held for you. We are looking into room blocks at other nearby hotels for those interested in staying longer. Guests are also free to look into offsite lodging if they wish. Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Generally speaking, September is one of the nicest months in the Tahoe area with average temperatures in the 70s and plenty of sunshine. It is the mountains so it can vary and be unpredictable.

Question

What should I pack?

Answer

Besides cocktail attire for the wedding, you should bring clothing to enjoy the outdoors. Sugar Bowl and the rest of Lake Tahoe offer amazing hiking, biking and other activities. Check out the the "Things to Do" section for more information about our recommended activities and stay tuned for more information about some planned activities on Friday, September 11th.
