COVID-19 UPDATE - July 17th, 2020

The world has changed … and so have our wedding plans :(

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Sugar Bowl Resort notified us today that they are not able to host any events for the rest of 2020, which impacts our wedding. Womp womp. We still plan to tie the knot on September 12th, but no venues in the area are allowing large gatherings of any kind. Thank you for your continued love and support. We look forward to celebrating with all of you in the future when we can hopefully laugh loudly, dance closely, hug tightly, and smile visibly. If you have any question or just want to say hello, feel free to give us a call or email us at brar.kellogg@gmail.com.

How We Began

We met in Atlanta when Ravi was doing her fellowship training. Derek suggested we see famous Georgia Aquarium and Ravi insisted on beers first. We quickly realized we had so many things in common, including naming our dogs after Disney characters (Baloo from the Jungle Book and Lilo, now Imelda's dog, after Lilo and Stitch). Derek made us miss the Dolphin show to see the Sea Otters, and Ravi hasn't let him live it down since. Ravi's planned one hour date turned into a 6-hr adventure complete with a hunt for delicious guacamole, tacos, and craft cocktails. That's still how we spend our weekends. Ravi accepted a job in Oakland 3 months later, but we didn't let distance stop us. Fast forward to today. We are excited to continue our adventures together and invite you to the kickoff to forever party.

Engagement Story

Neither rain, nor sleet ...

On a cold, blustery day in January the ski resorts around Lake Tahoe had all closed their lifts, and Ravi could not hide her disappointment. In an attempt to salvage the day, we took the dogs on a hike to enjoy a play-day in the snow. Baloo lept and bounded through snow banks, and Quigley plowed her face through the loose powder. When we reached the top, we felt the full force of the wind whipping the freezing drizzle against our faces. As Ravi panned her phone capturing both the amazing lake view and ridiculous conditions of the day, a small box came into view with something shiny inside.
