Anton and Rashieta's story began in 2008 at Ball State University. Rashieta spotted Anton at a scramble light, towering over her, headphones on, and seemingly oblivious to her presence. She wondered what he was listening to and why he still hadn't noticed her, finding him to be a mysterious figure. Months later, they crossed paths again on campus. This time saw each other in the LaFollette Dorms. Anton jokes to this day, saying there was an "aura" around Rashieta as he approached her; and while their eyes met, it was Rashieta's roommate who first approached Anton. A missed connection, they both walked away thinking the other wasn't interested. Several years went by, marked by graduation and new chapters in their lives. But fate would give them one more chance. In 2014, Anton's fraternity brother, AJ, decided to play matchmaker. Rashieta was initially skeptical, believing Anton had never paid her any attention in the past. But when she saw him at AJ's Super Bowl party, she nudged her friend, telling him she had changed her mind. Anton was just as happy to see Rashieta decided to come to the party, and the connection between the two of them was undeniable. That night, their conversation flowed naturally. At the end of the evening, Anton walked Rashieta to her car, and they exchanged contact information. During Valentine's weekend, Anton drove through a blizzard to take Rashieta to their first date at The Cheesecake Factory, and the rest, as they say, is history.
