Cuenca is served by Mariscal Lamar International Airport (CUE), located just a few miles from the city center. While there are no direct flights from the U.S., travelers can easily connect through Quito (UIO) or Guayaquil (GYE), which are both international airports with multiple daily flights to Cuenca.

Transportation
Cuenca does not have rideshare services like Uber or Lyft. The most common way to get around is by official taxis, which are plentiful and generally safe. Many taxi drivers prefer cash payment (US dollars), so it’s a good idea to carry smaller bills for convenience. Car rentals are also an option, although parking may be challenging near the city center. Many attractions in the historic center are within walking distance. There will be a free shuttle to guests from the hotels to the church and from the church to the wedding venue. More details to be posted closer to our wedding date!
