Pedro and Raquel first met at a friend’s gathering, where they were began as just acquaintances - at the time, both of them were very busy with medical residency. Over time, they kept running into each other at social events—Pedro thinking Raquel always got his jokes, Raquel quietly admiring Pedro’s charm. Almost a year later, they began meeting intentionally—over tea, coffee, dessert, and park workouts—and what started as friendship soon blossomed into love. They have since been inseparable for over four years, sharing countless adventures and alternating trips between their home countries—Brazil and Ecuador—to spend time with family and deepen their bonds. Life has taken them across three different states and even tested them with a year of long distance: Pedro in Minnesota for his first year of fellowship, while Raquel finished residency in Michigan. Today, they call Tucson, Arizona home (hence all the beautiful desert photos!) and share their lives with their beloved cat, Barbas. Now, surrounded by the love of family and friends, Pedro and Raquel are excited to begin the next chapter of their story together as a married couple—and they can’t wait to celebrate it with you!
