Every Thursday evening, downtown Palm Springs transforms into a vibrant pedestrian street fair known as VillageFest. This iconic event features over 200 booths offering a diverse mix of handcrafted goods, eclectic art, unique food, and more. It's the perfect spot to enjoy live entertainment, explore local vendors, soak in the festive atmosphere, and take home some quirky souvenirs. Open 6-10pm. We suggest heading downtown after the welcome party concludes. 1.2 mile walk or drive from Palm Canyon Swim & Social.
The Modernism Week Fall Preview will run October 16-19th, 2025. This festival highlights midcentury modern architecture, art, interior design, landscape design, and vintage culture in the Palm Springs area. Tours, programs, events, and activities are available for ticket purchase.
The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway—the world’s largest rotating tram car—travels over two-and-one-half miles along the breathtaking cliffs of Chino Canyon, transporting riders to the pristine wilderness of the Mt. San Jacinto State Park. During your approximately ten-minute journey, tram cars rotate slowly, offering picturesque and spectacular vistas of the valley floor below. Once you reach the Mountain Station—elevation 8,516 feet—enjoy two restaurants, observation decks, natural history museum, two documentary theaters, gift shop and over 50 miles of hiking trails.
