Matron of Honor
Cousin and built-in best friend for life. Not only did we grow up in the same family, we also spent our formative years together in college, and it is safe to say, we've seen it all together. There is no telling what we will encourage each other to do next. There is no relationship like ours.
Best Man
While friends in high school, Ian and Troy became best friends when they were both in college, albeit different ones, and would hang out constantly during the summers in between. Ian and Troy have a great passion for similar music, MD sports teams, and brewing beer. An extremely caring and thoughtful friend, Ian is the perfect choice for a Best Man.
Bridesmaid
Jordan and I have known each other since my Woodstown days (probably middle school) but we have connected and re-connected many times since then. Our relationship has always felt magnetic to me - like we were always meant to be friends. I cherish our friendship and all of the ways we have intertwined our lives.
Groomsman
Colin and Troy met in the early weeks of freshman year at Ithaca College and immediately clicked on their love for music- often having impromptu jam sessions in their dorms. Despite living in different locations since college, they've continue to stay great friends and never skip a beat when they get back together.
Bridesmaid
Roxanne and I were fast friends soon after I moved to Boston. We're like an old married couple, always arguing over directions and running errands together. She is one of my favorite people to be around, and no matter what happens, I know we'll be friends for a long, long time.
Groomsman
Matt was truly one of the first managers Troy ever had that was not only a fantastic mentor, but also a great friend. Matt and Troy immediately connected over music as they would go to a number of concerts together and constantly try to find the next greatest album. They also love disc golf and craft beer, especially at the same time.
Bridesmaid
Molly and I met in the hallway of our freshman year dorm, as we were assigned to the same floor. That was a fated assignment. We quickly bonded over Bob Dylan and lots and lots of other music, but Dylan was first. We have one of those relationships that just was meant to be. We are alike in as many ways that we are different, but we understand each other on a deeper level than most. And best of all, (especially when I need it), she always reminds me to "wear [my] love like heaven."
Groomsman
Logan was Troy's first friend at Ithaca College, meeting during a camping orientation. They clicked immediately on ultimate frisbee, skiing, and discovering local music around town. Some of their favorite past times include long road trips throughout the Northeast to see some great music.
Bridesmaid
Mattie and I have been best friends since high school. She is one of those people that no matter how long we go without catching up, we pick up right where we left off and don't skip a beat. She is one of the only people that truly understands me without having to explain my perspective. I can always count on having an easy, silly time when we get together.
Groomsman
Troy and Nick go back like 6th grade pencils, meeting and becoming fast friends in middle school. Despite going to separate high schools, they always remained great friends taking fun and memorable road trips and playing an abundance of soccer together (in both real and video game form).
Bridesmaid
We were besties in graduate school and have shared many things throughout our friendship. We got each other through the trials and tribulations of a doctoral program, lived together, shared family vacations and traveled to multiple cities together, and still continue to be supports for each other. Her perfect sarcasm and kind heart can get you through any tough situation.
Groomsman
Also a high school friend, Jason and Troy became great friends after graduating different colleges and moving into a house in Baltimore together. They bonded immediately over sports, video games, giving questionable relationship advice, and playing very loud music at all hours of the night.
Bridesmaid
Sarah and I have been through lots of ups and downs together and have picked each other off the floor. She is someone I can always count on to have a laugh with and I love her passion for the finer things in life. We only see each other occasionally now, but we still talk at least once a week and are always caught up on the happenings in each other's lives.
Groomsman
Sean is Lauren's brother and Troy's soon to be brother-in-law. Troy is so happy to be gaining another brother who is thoughtful, insightful, and always a blast to hang out with!
Bridesmaid
Shannon is my soon-to-be sister-in-law. I couldn't be luckier to be finally gaining a sister, let alone one like her. She is kind, oh-so-thoughtful, a great supporter and listener, and a definite grabber of life. I am so excited to officially be family and can't wait to share all of the special times to come.
Groomsman
Adam is Troy's brother-in-law and first "real" brother. They clicked immediately when they first met over 10 years ago and enjoy brewing beer, discussing (and talking smack about) their favorite sports teams, and enjoy getting down on some excellent New England seafood together.
Officiant
Bernie (or Uncle Bernie) is Lauren's uncle and Godfather. He is a very special person to both Lauren and Troy and we could not imagine this person being anyone else. We know that having him perform the ceremony will be one of our favorite moments of our special day.
