We wanted to let our guests know that if you are traveling via the Mass Pike (I-90) westbound from Boston, "The Big E" fair (a popular Massachusetts annual event) will be opening Friday, September 17th. There may be busier than normal weekend traffic in the Springfield, MA area as it is opening weekend. Letting you all know so that you can plan your travel accordingly.
The safety of our loved ones is the most important thing to us. We originally postponed our wedding last year in order to protect our wedding guests and while we are (thankfully!) in a much better place in the world, your safety and comfort is still at the forefront of our minds. Therefore, we will be following all CDC guidelines as they relate to large gatherings (see link below for details). We expect that most adults attending the wedding will be fully vaccinated. Per the CDC's recommendation and to ensure the safety of all of our guests, we kindly ask that any unvaccinated adults wear a mask while not seated at your table. We will provide extra masks for anyone who may need one or feel more comfortable wearing one. We appreciate your cooperation when trying to accommodate guests with a wide range of comfort levels and immunity risks. https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/your-health/large-gatherings.html
Please contact Troy or Lauren for any specific questions that may ease your mind or help you make any decisions regarding our celebration. We can't wait to celebrate with you, most of all, and our wish is that every guest feels comfortable gathering to celebrate with us. We are still a few months out, and will update information here as regulations and guidelines change. Please stay tuned here for any updates! We hope to receive all RSVPs at the latest by Monday, August 16th. With that said, please RSVP sooner if you do know your plans either way. This will help us in our planning as so many things have been up in the air this year. Additionally, our primary room block is located at Jiminy Peak Resort, and this coincides with the last day to book a hotel room in our room block.
Yes, there is a parking lot that can fit plenty of vehicles at Bloom Meadows, where both the ceremony and reception are located. We will also have transportation to and from area lodging: The first shuttle will pick up right outside the main entrance to Jiminy Peak Mountain at 2:55 PM, with another picking up at 3:10 PM. After the reception we will have busses leaving at 10:15 PM and 10:30 PM returning to Jiminy Peak. During the reception, however, a bus will be available as needed should you need to go back to the resort earlier than that (the distance is only about 5 minutes).
No. We want you to have the opportunity to dress up, look and feel your best, and most of all feel comfortable. Keep in mind the ceremony is planned for the meadows behind the barn, so be mindful of your choice of footwear! Additionally, September in the Berkshires can bring a range of weather, so please pack accordingly so that you have warmth for the chilly evenings and protection from the sun during the day. You never know in New England!
Yes - there is a question included with the RSVP on the website. Our caterers should be able to accommodate.
Please plan to arrive no later than 3:15pm. We hope to begin the ceremony promptly at 3:30pm.
