Question

Are children invited to the event?

Answer

We are so excited to share our special day with you! As of now, to ensure that everyone has the best experience, we’ve decided to host an adult-only ceremony and reception. We understand this may require some adjustments, and we truly appreciate your understanding and support. Due to the limited seating at the ceremony and dinner (we have a capacity of just 220 guests), we kindly ask that children not attend the ceremony or dinner. However, we want to make things as easy and enjoyable as possible for families. To that end, we will be providing child care services on-site. The children will have their own dedicated space inside the venue’s indoor gymnasium, where they can enjoy games, food, and fun activities, all under the supervision of trusted caregivers. Parents are welcome to visit their children anytime during the event, and the kids are more than welcome to join us later for dancing and late-night festivities! We hope this arrangement helps make the evening more enjoyable for everyone, and we can’t wait to celebrate with you. Please RSVP directly with Darryl and Jon in advance so we can plan for food, activities, and supervision for your little ones.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to limited space, we’ve had to be mindful of our guest list. If your invitation explicitly includes a plus-one, that means we’ve made room for a guest on your behalf. Unfortunately, we’re unable to accommodate additional guests beyond those invited. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us directly—we’re happy to clarify any details! Thank you for understanding.

Question

What's the weather going to be like?

Answer

We're hopeful for fantastic weather on April 26, 2025, as spring in Dallas typically brings mild temperatures and sunny skies. We’re anticipating warm, pleasant conditions perfect for enjoying the day. However, given that April is also part of the rainy season in Texas, we’re fully prepared for the possibility of inclement weather, including showers or thunderstorms. Should the weather take an unexpected turn, we’ve made all necessary arrangements to ensure that any potential disruptions won't affect the experience. Whether it's bright sunshine or a little rain, we're ready for whatever the day brings! More specifically, we can offer a general idea of the typical weather you might expect in Dallas. Based on historical trends, late April generally brings mild to warm spring weather, with the following characteristics: Temperature - Average daytime highs range from the mid-70s°F to low 80s°F (24-28°C). Nighttime temperatures can dip into the 50s°F (10-15°C), though it may occasionally be warmer or cooler depending on specific weather patterns. Humidity - Levels can be moderate to high, especially in the late afternoon, as Texas springtime tends to be a little more humid. Rainfall - April is part of the rainy season in North Texas, so there's a chance of thunderstorms, particularly in the late afternoon or evening. Showers and thunderstorms are common, but they can be brief, with periods of sunshine in between. Wind - Can be breezy, especially during the day, with gusts up to 15-25 mph (24-40 km/h) in some cases.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We are incredibly fortunate to have everything we need for our home and life together, so we’re not requesting physical gifts. However, for those who feel strongly about gifting, we would be truly grateful for contributions towards our honeymoon. To make a contribution, please visit the Registry tab on our website and click on the Honeyfund link "See registry", which will direct you to the site where you can share in our dream getaway. Your generosity will help us create lasting memories as we begin this next chapter of our journey together. Thank you for your thoughtfulness and support!

Question

How secure is it to contribute to our honeymoon fund through Honeyfund and why is this the best way to contribute?

Answer

Honeyfund is a trusted and secure platform that has been used by thousands of couples to collect honeymoon funds. It uses bank-level encryption to ensure that your contribution is safe and secure. What makes Honeyfund the best choice for us is that it allows us to receive every penny donated. The platform partners with PayPal and other payment processors to transfer the funds directly to our account, so there are no hidden fees or deductions. This means that every dollar you contribute goes directly toward our honeymoon, helping us create unforgettable memories. We chose Honeyfund because it offers a simple, convenient way for our loved ones to contribute to our dream honeymoon. It also gives us the flexibility to choose experiences and activities that will truly enhance our trip, without the constraints of a traditional gift registry. We’re so grateful for your generosity and support and can’t wait to share our adventure with you!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is black tie optional, and we encourage all guests "dress to impress". This is an elevated and curated event, so we invite you to embrace the opportunity to dress stylishly and thoughtfully for the occasion. Whether you choose a formal gown or a sharp suit, we want everyone to feel confident and comfortable while looking their best. We can't wait to see you all in your stunning attire and celebrate in style!

Question

Is there a specific color scheme you'd recommend for coordinating my attire with the wedding theme?

Answer

Our wedding will feature a darker, moodier theme that sets an elegant and intimate tone for the day, think of dark charcoal, greys and blacks. But the wedding party is bringing elegant jewel tones... think a navy blue for sapphires and a burgandy red for rubys, deep plum purple and emerald green.

Question

What are the parking arrangements at the Hall of Lights, the Renaissance and the Marriott?

Answer

At the Hall of Lights, parking is complimentary for all guests, so you can easily park when you arrive. At the Renaissance Legacy West Hotel, self-parking is available for $22 per day, and valet parking is $31 per day. However, if you book a room under our room block, valet parking will be offered at a discounted rate. There is a height limit of 7'-0" in the hotel parking garage. At the Dallas/Plano Marriott at Legacy Town Center, self-parking is available for $20 per day, and valet parking is $30 per day. However, if you book a room under our room block, valet parking may be offered at a discounted rate.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotel to the ceremony?

Answer

If you're staying at the Renaissance Legacy West Hotel or the Marriott at Legacy Town Center, transportation will be provided for you! For more details, please refer to the Schedule and Travel tabs.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We’ll be ready to welcome guests starting at 4:30 PM as the ceremony will begin promptly at 5:00 PM. We recommend arriving at least 15-20 minutes early to allow time for parking and getting settled. If you arrive a bit earlier, don’t worry—feel free to explore the stunning Hall of Lights and take in the beauty of the venue before the ceremony begins.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Absolutely!!! Reference our Schedule tab for all the information.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Space is very limited but overall we highly recommend staying at the Renaissance Legacy West Hotel, as it’s where all of our extra wedding activities will be held. Or we have the Dallas/Plano Marriott at Legacy Town Center across the way also blocked. Both hotels will be the pick-up and drop-off point for the shuttles traveling to and from the venue, making it a convenient option for guests. While the Renaissance is our top choice, we suggest doing some research to find the best hotel for your needs. There are other options in the area, and we’re happy to assist with recommendations if needed. Feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions!

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

We’re confident that the delicious cuisine provided by Hall of Lights or the Renaissance Legacy West Hotel will satisfy most of our guests. However, we understand that some attendees may have specific dietary restrictions or food allergies that require special accommodations. If this applies to you, please be sure to alert Darryl and Jon as far in advance as possible.

Question

If i have any questions, who do i contact?

Answer

If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out directly to Darryl and Jon. We're here to help and want to ensure everything goes smoothly for you!
