This is where we went on our first date! Rafaela had shrimp pad thai and added some sweet chili sauce. For added realness, you can both show up late. Then, go watch The Bachelor and gossip like Rafaela did. Actual photo of the fortune Brendan got that day. Safe to say it was the next 6 years and counting 🥠
The Sit Down Cafe & Sushi Bar
Our second date! Rafaela had a basil martini and spilled it. Afterwards, hit up Kimbark Liquors to take home some gin and tonic ingredients. (Photo from a recent revisit)
Griffin Museum of Science and Industry
We visited the MSI late February 2020. It turned out to be our last museum trip for a while! Definitely check out the coal mine exhibit (unless you're claustrophobic like Brendan) and the mirror maze--but be careful with your face for all the photos at the wedding. Afterwards, take a nice walk through Jackson Park!
The Art Institute of Chicago
On a date here, Rafaela told Brendan that he "cackled" too loud, but she liked it :)
Field Museum
If you take Brendan, he can read you all the hieroglyphs in the Egyptian section! Bonus points if you can find the sarcophagus that looks like Michael Jackson.
Shedd Aquarium
We went here for our first Valentine's Day date! Rafaela loves penguins.
Mercadito
We went here for dinner after our Valentine's Day date at the aquarium! Great margaritas, Brendan likes the mango guac.
