Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Rachel Baker and Eli Gregory
Hood River and White Salmon are known for wind surfing, mountain biking, and kayaking, predominantly. Folks come from all over to experience this magical slice of outdoor heaven. If none of these recommendations do it for you, let us know and we can send some more ideas your way. The Hood River Valley means so much to us. We truly can't wait to share this quintessential Pacific Northwest spot with you.

The Society Hotel Hood River - Bingen

210 N Cedar Street, Cook, WA 98605
, (509) 774-4437

We went here at the very beginning of our relationship and is definitely one of our favorite spots. Not only is there lodging, but you can stop in for a day and enjoy their spa.

Coyote Wall Trailhead

Old Highway 8, White Salmon, WA 98672

We hike this trail often! You'll find great views early on and if you stick it out to the end you are rewarded with a special little forest. Mountain bikers use this trail often as well in case you want to take the adventure up a notch!

River Drifters - White Salmon River Rafting

856 Washington 141, White Salmon, WA 98672
, (800) 972-0430

White Salmon, Washington is known for their optimal river rafting trips. We recommend this activity if you are spending more than just a couple of days in the area.

Double Mountain Brewery

8 4th Street, Hood River, OR 97031
, (541) 387-0042

Our favorite pizzeria & brewery in Portland has a Hood River location! If you like pizza, you won't be disappointed ordering the 'Truffle Shuffle'. They also have a gluten free crust that is quite special!

Hood River Waterfront Park

650 Portway Avenue, Hood River, OR 97031
, (541) 387-5201

If you're wanting a lazy river beach day, this is your spot. This stretch of beach is connected to the Hood River Waterfront Trail and pops you out to downtown Hood River with tons of local shops and restaurants.

Port Marina Park

Portway Avenue, Hood River, OR 97031
, (541) 386-2383

Another beautiful stretch of beach that is right next door to the epicenter for Wind Surfing in the area. This location is similar to the Hood River Waterfront Park in that it is right off of the Waterfront Trail that takes you down to Downtown Hood River.

Solstice Wood Fire Pizza - Cafe & Bar

501 Portway Avenue, Hood River, OR 97031
, (541) 436-0800

On our way back from out first backpacking trip together, we stopped at this truly delicious waterfront spot.

Hood River Fruit Loop

If you're wanting to explore the farms in the Hood River valley, this self-guided tour is a must. Take a 2.5 hour drive along some of Oregon's most treasured wineries, breweries, fruit farms and more.
