A drive over Cottonwood pass (on the way from Denver), Kebler Pass, Ohio Pass, or up Gothic Road (continue past our ceremony site for 10 miles to reach the town of Gothic) are spectacular this time of year.
Hiking
A few of many recommended hikes: Easy- Woods Walk, Lower Loop, Snodgrass, Long Lake, Brush Creek Great Spots for Aspen Leaves- Horse Ranch Park, The Dyke Trail, Three Lakes Loop, Swampy Pass Harder hikes with views that are worth it - Scarps Ridge, 403, Beckwith Pass, Green Lake
Mountain Biking
Generally known as the birthplace of the mountain bike, Crested Butte is home to the best singletrack that Colorado has to offer. Boasting miles upon miles of high alpine bike trails Crested Butte has something for everyone - whether you’re after fast, smooth singletrack or a steep, technical challenge. The town of Crested Butte sits at 9,000′ allowing for accessible rides through unmatched mountain scenery. This Website has conditions and trail ideas.

Fly Fishing
Lower water levels and great clarity make fall an ideal time to go fly fishing in the Gunnison Valley. Experience the legendary kokanee salmon run in Gunnison and Almont in August and September. During this time of year, kokanee salmon swim north from Blue Mesa Reservoir up the Gunnison River past the city of Gunnison and the town of Almont.
