Wedding Party

Rivvy Ackerman

Bridesmaid

Rivvy and Rachel have known each other since they were three. They've shared everything from sleepovers to a bat mitzvah weekend. At this point they'd be shocked if they didn't share some friend-turned-sister DNA.

Rebecca Bloch

Bridesmaid

Rebecca is Michael's sister. In quiet moments, Rebecca's mother has confided in Michael that she loves Michael just a little bit more. Rachel on the other hand, is so excited to finally have a sister!

Erika Heyder-Seeley

Bridesmaid

Erika was the first person to be nice to Rachel when she moved to UNC back in 2002. Since then, it's been downhill. Please disregard anything Erika says during her speech, she has momentary blackouts where she says things she doesn't mean. Also, Erika is Rachel's soulmate.

Alisa Seewald-Paul

Bridesmaid

Alisa and Rachel have known each other since they were three and a half? Four? No one's really sure, but they have matching mullet pictures to prove their friendship started in the 80s. The last 30 years have made these two sisters from different (amazing) misters.

Niralee Shah

Bridesmaid

Niralee and Rachel met on their UNC semester abroad in Sevilla. Neither ate meat which meant both ate A LOT of pizza. Niralee and Rachel agree on: subway > cab, uptown > downtown and Winnie > any dog on the planet. Oh and Usherrrr.

Ilana Tarr

Bridesmaid

Ilana and Rachel's friendship started with Loreal Gelling Curls hair gel circa 1999. It hasn't grown that much deeper, but it has withstood almost 20 years, 2 colleges, 26 boyfriends (approx.), 5 cities and countless rides on the 2/3 train.

Andrew Bhagwandat

Groomsman

Mike and Andy became fast friends during the first of Andy’s three freshman years at Wesleyan. Sure, he wasn’t exactly the first guy you’d invite to the study group, but he’s a mediocre athlete and truly the best of friends.

Dan Ceaser

Fluffer

Anyone who knew Dan from ages 4 to, say, 25, never would’ve guessed he’d amount to anything in life, let alone one of Mike’s most successful friends. One of the greatest troublemakers in Sidwell Friends history, Dan now runs his own school in Florida, where he lives with his forgiving wife Katherine and three daughters.

Mat Glassman

Groomsman

Mat and Mike became close friends in middle school, primarily in the principal’s office where they spent a great deal of time together. Mat has not only remained a great friend, he has far exceeded his high school yearbook prediction: “Most likely to date underage women.” What was once a horrifying prospect, Mat has recently procreated. He lives in DC with his terrific wife Lenka and adorable baby Emma.

Adam Rosenberg

Groomsman

Adam and Mike grew up playing soccer in DC together. Not just any soccer, folks, they were on the SELECT team, you probably heard about it. Throughout their lifelong friendship, Mike has been instrumental in helping Adam break out of his notoriously shy exterior and finally gain some much needed self-confidence in social settings, particularly with the ladies.

Bram Levy

Groomsman

Although you’d never look at Bram’s physique and think “athlete,” he is, in fact, the best dancer at this wedding. You’ll see. Great friends for nearly 20 years, Bram and Mike have wreaked havoc together from DC to Boston to New York to New Orleans to Seeley Lake, Montana, and back again.

Tom Lue

Groomsman

Tom used to cheat off Mike in law school, which likely kept Tom from failing out. One of Mike’s favorite people, Tom credits his moderately successful career to Mike’s wisdom, guidance and maturity. Tom lives in San Francisco with his amazing wife Nancy and two sons.

Miriti Murungi

Groomsman

Miriti and Mike spent the bulk of their time together in college at the library. Two young men focused exclusively on scholarly pursuits, their strong bond was formed during late nights debating Nietzsche until the wee hours of the morning. Miriti, a reformed attorney, now lives in Miami doing much more interesting things.

Niko Perazich

Groomsman

Niko and Mike have been friends since they were little toddlers on the soccer field - Mike being the faster and generally more athletic toddler. During high school, Niko became the face of the ASPCA for his extra-curricular work dealing with squirrel population control in the greater metropolitan area. He currently lives in Washington DC with his lovely wife Richelle and two wonderful children.

Jim Tuxbury

Groomsman

There’s no real way to sugarcoat this folks, Jim is a Republican. To be honest, Mike initially hung out with him so he could tell people he had a Republican friend. Over time, however, Mike began to genuinely like the guy, and if you avoid talking politics, maybe some day you guys will too. Jim lives in Wellesley, MA with his more enlightened wife Lorrin, and four daughters.

Brian Walker

Groomsman

If Mike met Brian today, there’s no chance they’d be friends. Let’s face it, Brian turned out to be a colossal douche. But those of you who knew Brian Walker circa 1996 know exactly why he and Mike became best friends on the first day of college.

Bob Wynne

Groomsman

Bob is much much smarter than he looks. Like many other former LSU football players, Bob is now a successful attorney living in Houston, TX. He and Mike met in Louisiana, where Bob essentially interned for Mike. Mike is thrilled to have Bob in his wedding, even though Bob didn’t invite Mike to his. Mike’s not at all bitter about that.

Tucker Zengerle

Groomsman

The Blochs and the Zengerles have been family friends for decades. In addition to their being the best of lifelong friends, Mike is Tucker’s personal trainer. Tucker credits Mike for his transformation from a soft and chubby boy to his current role as one of the lead showroom models for Outlaw Jeans. Tucker lives in the Czech Republic with his wonderful wife Daniela and two future gladiator sons.
